Economic Report:

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, New York City ranks third in the country for worker compensation. On average New York workers earn $36.18 per hour including benefits. Bostonians earn on average $38.62 and San Franciscans take in $38.52 per hour. The national average for worker compensation is $27.73 per hour.

2. $36.18 an hour? On average.
That means too many make a million an hour because the rest of us get squat. Average. Please. What's the median?
