YOU helped save hundreds of workers' jobs in Ohio

Just got this email.

Thanks to pressure from concerned people like you, from celebrities and from political leaders across the country, Hugo Boss has decided NOT to close its suit-making plant near Cleveland, Ohio. Today, Workers United SEIU members at Hugo Boss have voted to ratify a new three-year contract that, while it requires sacrifice, will keep their plant open.

It is almost unprecedented for a multinational company and its private-equity owners to reverse a plant-closing decision like this. The credit for this win goes first and foremost to the Hugo Boss workers, whose courage and determination was the foundation of the campaign. But it was extremely important that you let Hugo Boss know that you wanted the company to keep making clothes in the USA. Hugo Boss listened.

On behalf of the hundreds of Workers United SEIU members who have jobs today partly because you took action, thank you.

Bruce Raynor, President, Workers United SEIU

2. K&R!! The threat of "I will no longer buy..." has clout, and when voiced by
a significant number of people, is a powerful tool. We need to keep it up!

I wish I could afford to actually buy Hugo Boss to support the company. Not all companies would have changed their stance.

SO happy for the workers!

3. Well, if I wore suits (or could afford one)
I'd get a Hugo Boss.

4. Hoo-ray for everyone!
This is a win-win situation for sure. Good for Hugo Boss and good for the employees.
