Minnesota’s State Senate Wednesday passed a $1 billion infrastructure jobs bill Wednesday. AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson praised the state senate’s action.

: “Getting people back to work should be the first priority. In Minnesota there’s over 230,000 people that have lost their jobs since the beginning of the recession. And I’m sure many other states are like that as well.”

Minnesota State Building and Construction Trades President Harry Melander says this infrastructure bonding bill will create more than 27,000 jobs.
