IAM Members Ratify Bombardier Learjet Contract With Pay Raises And Pension Sweetener

The International Association of Machinists has bucked the trend of companies demanding concessions in a new contract at Bombardier Learjet in Kansas. Workers in IAM Lodge 639 overwhelmingly ratified an agreement that provides yearly raises and an immediate 14 percent boost in the pension plan. IAM says there were no takeaways in this new contract. The union says the company worked with the union rather than being confrontational.

1. the Machinists are THE driver for wages and benefits in aerospace. Now everybody will benefit.

2. Good for them, but I still hate those jets
I had to fly in 2 of those box kite cattle cars from Houston to Minneapolis and back this year. The most uncomfortable flights of my life.
