New York AFL-CIO President Denis Hughes says the Obama administration must review and re-think America’s trade policies with an eye toward jobs creation here at home.

: “We seek a strategic pause and review to look at existing trade agreements and build a comprehensive new trade policy that will support the creation of good jobs at home.”

The U.S. has lost jobs for 21 consecutive months.

1. Quite honestly, I cannot see why Obama does not do anything about this, either.

With no jobs there will be few, if any, consumers. With no consumers there will be few, if any, jobs.

Granted the man has a full plate but I thought Dems were capable of chewing gum and doing something else. You have two failed occupations, a failed heath care system, a global climate system in crisis, a military-industrial-complex completely out of control, and Goldman Sachs guys are in charge. Hmmmmm. Which one is immediately fixable?

If the Democrats plan on retaining leadership in congress in 2010 they better get busy. You guys get a 'C-' as far as I'm concerned - and I'm not looking for 'C-' folks to figure out how to fix it.
