Workers shocked in job accident

A 46-year-old Council Bluffs man was taken this morning to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition after he was shocked.

Ron Weaver, 46, was one of three employees of Midwest Glass & Glazing who were shocked when the boom of their truck came in contact with a live wire at 702 N. 17th St., said Lt. Darci Tierney, an Omaha police spokeswoman.

Emergency officials were called to the scene at 8:50 a.m.

Weaver later was taken to the burn unit at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, Tierney said.

The other workers, Keith Forester, 25, of Council Bluffs, and Jonas Peterson, 28, of Omaha, were treated at the scene.
