Valparaiso man dies in fall at construction site

BRAINARD, Neb — A Valparaiso man has died from injuries suffered in a construction accident Monday.

According to the Butler County Sheriff's Office, Dale Rezac, 37, of Valparaiso fell about 25 feet while helping build a construction shed a quarter-mile east of Brainard. Robert Schidler, 45, of Ceresco also was injured in the accident.

The Brainard Rescue Squad took both men to the Butler County Health Center, where Rezac was pronounced dead. Schidler was treated for minor injuries and released.
