BETHESDA, Md., July 14, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- A unique program helping America's veterans find new careers in the building and construction trades is among the features of the latest edition of ElectricTV.net. A joint production of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), ElectricTV.net is the only Web TV program dedicated to the latest developments in the electrical and information systems industries.

Named "Helmets to Hardhats," the public-private initiative provides job and training guidance to U.S. armed forces members seeking to transition to civilian life. To date, the program has been actively involved in the career search of nearly 200,000 veterans.

Also on this edition of ElectricTV is an interview with Dr. Patrick Moore, a founding member of Greenpeace, who reconsiders the benefits of nuclear energy; a feature on the first uranium enrichment facility to be built on U.S. soil in thirty years; and a piece exploring the truth about compact fluorescent lamps.
