Interview with George W Bush
Just in case any of you want to read it and find any interesting titbits.

For our interview, he settled into his favourite Oval Office chair. Behind him, displayed on a table, was Sir Jacob Epstein's bust of Winston Churchill - loaned to him by Blair. As he sipped from a bottle of mineral water, and sucked intermittently on a mouth freshener, Bush was plainly keen to defend the contribution of his key ally.

"The guy means a lot to me," he said, in his plain-speaking Texan way.

He had just finished one of his weekly video-conference calls with Blair. "I talk to him all the time," he said. That day's conversation had involved "reminiscing and thinking about not only what took place in Iraq, but what will take place in Iraq". How, I asked, had Blair managed to become his closest ally, when previously the Prime Minister had been so close to former President Bill Clinton?

"Like any relationship, it has grown and matured over time," said Bush. "The first thing about Tony Blair is that he is a very charming, engaging person. He goes out of his way to make a person feel comfortable. He speaks clearly and plainly. He's willing to share feelings about a variety of issues. I initially, right off the bat, was impressed by his grasp of issues."

1. Kick
Not because I suddenly like the current President of the United States, but because I think this is worth bringing up for discussion.
