2. Springer doesn't SUCK but he certainly isn't as good
as several others. I like Franken a lot, good mix of wonk and humor. Maddow is mostly policy and news, but pretty good. Miller is funny. Springer is......really, really ordinary. How Maron got away is a mystery.

3. Most likely Jones is paying her more money
I could be wrong, but that would be a logical guess. After all, these people aren't doing this for charity. If you are unhappy with AAR programming, email them and let them know. But just remember, it took years and years to get even the small amount of progressive radio we have now. And reportedly, the number of listeners is growing a lot.

5. Agreed. I love her!

I just started listening to her recently, and she has totally won me over. One of the better liberal radio shows, IMO.

AAR needs to replace Springer with her, and once Franken runs for senate (which you know he will), they need to put Harmann in his time slot.

I've been listening to Hartmann and Miller over Springer and Franken lately.

7. Because every one has different tastes
I don't like Miller, but that's me. I've recently stopped listening to Malloy, I just couldn't keep taking his Clinton is a republican anymore, and bashing any dem that isn't dancing to his tune. Love Randi. Franken, sometimes. Springer is a middle of the roader, who talks to middle America, very calmly. And he does bring up some interesting topics.

There's room for everyone, this is America.

8. How dare you bring logic into this!
I like Stephanie Miller, never really listened to Springer, getting sick of Randi and her unsubstantiated rants and her absolute rudeness, Like Franken ok, like Schultz ok too, where a lot of folks around here don't. But you are correct, there is room for everybody. After all, the righties still have us outnumbered on the airwaves. So we should appreciate what we have.

10. Here's an idea. Why can't we have both?
Hmmm? You listen to what you want to, and I'll listen to what I want to.

11. sound just about perfect
Springer's not my favorite. He's just an obvious and not-so-entertaining choice for the am drive time. IMO--yawn. But I'm glad you can listen to him, since you like him.

12. I used to download Stephanie Miller's podcasts, too. Until they started
charging for them. I miss hearing them when I'm at the gym, but not enough to pay a monthly fee.

13. I need something my AM radio can pick up. If I want choices,
I have to put several hundred dollars into my 1992 Saturn just for the satellite radio.
