2. I remember some of this. I'm on dialup so it's taking a while, but
I wanted to keep this thread up where people can see it. It is worth watching.

the Trent Lott part. I remember some of this stuff, but the Trent Lott part is new to me. Do you know if anyone has video or audio of Barbara Bush making her rude comments about the hurricane being "good" for the poor people? I have seen numerous links to sites that have it in written form, but the video would be the thing to have. They should play that during the campaign to point out how out of touch and coldhearted that bunch is.

5. ...to add, and Bill O'Reilly is such a coldhearted jerk too. Nothing like
blaming the victims.

Including: "I also want to encourage anybody who was affected by Hurricane Corina to make sure their children are in school." –First Lady Laura Bush, twice referring to a "Hurricane Corina" while speaking to children and parents in South Haven, Mississippi, Sept. 8, 2005

"This is the largest disaster in the history of the United States, over an area twice the size of Europe.People have to understand this is a big, big problem.'' –Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), Sept. 6, 2005

Edited to add, it end with Barbara Bush's audio over flooding.

6. I thought
this was going to be another "bash the media" fest. Quite the opposite, and I'm quite gratified (yes, I'm a journalist). And I'm totally pissed off all over again. How DARE Brownie and Co. say they were waiting for their own truth, when the truth was being beamed to every TV in the country in the form of live pictures.
Thank you, uppityperson, for bringing this very important video to us.

8. Anyone hear Cokie Roberts reporting on the Katrina aftermath?

It's one of the most heartbreaking journalistic word pictures on record:

I think the bit about the yacht club really speaks to the masses. :eyes:
