Here's what happens when some Katrina survivors lose all hope . . .
Postively heart-breaking.

Three Katrina Evacuees Found Dead in Texas

Dec 31, 2005 : 12:21 am ET

GRAPEVINE, Texas -- A family of three Hurricane Katrina evacuees facing eviction was found dead Friday in their Texas apartment in what appears to be a double murder-suicide, authorities said.

Police were called by the apartment complex to assist in the eviction and discovered the bodies, said police Sgt. Todd Dearing in Grapevine, near Dallas.

Found with gunshot wounds were a 40-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy, all from Louisiana. Police found a shotgun believed to be the weapon, Dearing said.

9. And probably won't be added to the death toll of Katrina
which we still don't know what it is.

13. No, I'm sure not.
But it definitely should be.

So incredibly sad. To have made it out of NO to safety and there's no safety-net in our country to help them at all.

3. I wish I had a bigger place.
That's so sad. I remember seeing the punk rock girl at the Superdome. I don't know why, but it infuriated me even more when I saw "one of my own" sitting there abandoned like that. Now entire families are dying because Nero wouldn't stop fiddling and lay his silver spoon down long enough to look at the screen and see what was happening to those people. Damn Bush. Damn his administration. This blood like the cold blooded open murders by those enforcing martial law down there is on his hands and the hands of his evil fucking minions.

6. This is going to be an all- too- common occurence, I'm afraid
When you factor in the sadistic Bankruptcy Bill, where the heartless bastards wouldn't even allow exemptions for medical problems, being called up to Iraq, OR losing everything in Katrina. Debt is a big trigger of suicide and sometimes the dad (it usually is the patriarch) decides to take the whole family with him.

Thanks, politico-corporatacracy assholes. Thanks. :grr:

8. This is heartbreaking
This country takes care of its own!!!! Yah right, what a line of crap. The victims of katrina have been let down by the government who care no more about them than they do about the people in Iraq. It's not about human sufferering and loss of life ,its about greed and oil and power.
What happened to BRING US YOUR TIRED AND HUNGRY.The US has become a disgrace to this planet.
We all need to visualize peace and a new democracy for the people,by the people.
If we are going to survive the evil empire has to go.I say IMPEACH all of them from bush down to rice and all in between

11. Hope the apartment complex management is proud of themselves.
They got their non-rent paying tenants out of the building, which is I'm sure all they care about.
