Thus DeBrecht's first book. She said she got the idea for Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed! during the 2000 presidential election when her then-4-year-old son asked her what a liberal is. "Well, the harder Daddy works and the more money he makes, the more liberals want to take out of his pocket," she told him. (Pretty heavy stuff for a 4-year-old... .)

The J.K. Rowling of the Ronald Reagan set, whose liberal-bashing Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed! was a publishing sensation last year, has written a hilarious follow-up, Help! Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper!, this time setting her sights on Hollywood stars such as Britney Spears (Daisy Smears in the book), Madonna (Rayonna), Barbra Streisand (Barbara Buttersand), and DeBrecht's perennial arch-villain, Hillary Rodham Clinton (Congresswoman Clunkton), all of whom have inherited the cultural power once reserved for those amoral Greek gods (including their propensity for sleeping around a lot).

This whole subject reminds me of my least favorite book by my least favorite author. (If you must). Wow. Great way to promote any kind of dialogue to work towards a resolution of our issues; loathing even TALKING to someone with an opposing viewpoint.

As much as I despise her and the likes of Coulter for their "jokes", the sad fact is that people who buy the stuff are being Conned. Utterly, completely Conned.

What ever would people like them DO for a living if all of the Liberals disappeared? So, while they write their screeds, they're laughing all the way to the bank and hoping Liberals remain strong. The demise of Liberals as they seem to wish for would only put them out of work and into the poorhouse.

One of the reasons why Coulter does well in her book sales is because GOP groups will buy her books in bulk to push up the sales number (Even if most of these books are being used to balance wobbly coffee tables). It would be interesting to see if this is happening to her sales too. I find it hard to believe that with the majority of Americans polling unfavorably to the Republican Congress and Republican Administration, that her sales would be through the roof.

hatred always there? Since I was a little girl there was an effort by educators and other concerned adults to teach children tolerance of those different from them. There was an effort to teach children to reach out to everyone in friendship to maintain a peaceful and productive society.

Teaching children to hate any demography of society and that includes liberals is really diabolical.
