What scares me the most about the possibility of attacking Iran
is that I see dimson's addictive personality rearing its ugly little head. It is no secret that he had a significant substance abuse problem in his 'youth' (read 40's, :eyes:), and now when I hear what he has to say, I see a gambling addict going for the 'big one'.

His sociopathic personality will not allow him to see that going to war with Iran will be the destruction of millions, because he simply doesn't care. He is like the heroin addict on the street looking for 'one last score', or the guy at the craps table in the Bahamas who has just mortgaged his house, but 'the big one is coming'.

His addictive personality coupled with his sociopathic tendencies will not allow him NOT to attack. I think it is just a matter of when.

God help us all.

2. Then add in that shrub is under the delusion that he talks to god
and he believes we are living in the end times. Hey shrubs a born again moron, he thinks after he starts Armageddon he will be one of those that gets raptured out of the picture, so hey no worries about his actions. Those fundie beliefs allow born agains to escape the fall out for their actions. I'm born again so I can do anything I want and don't have to pay for it.

3. Hitler took lots of drugs in his last years, coincidently
Some of the drugs of the era were not helping his ailments and may have helped him become further divorced from reality. The officers who surrendered after the Red Army took Hitler's bunker reported he had lost touch with reality at the end before committing suicide. He couldn't fathom that his mighty government and nation were finally brought down, bankrupted and exhausted into annihilation.

6. its misinfo, you're working for the pentagon
This "IS" one of rumsfelds deceptions. They made a
story out of nothing, to send a diplomatic message
of fear across the world, one that governments
have had to respond to, for the apparent officiality
of the rumor.

So, bush gets to send a message for free, you do
all the work, you spread the fear anoia, and he gets
to look like the guy who's not paranoid.

I realize the total sick irony of that, but we must
be reticent to jump too quickly at the new media
manipulation, or psyops will destroy us as a
proxy terrorists. Terror is in the mind, look always
at who repeats it and why. It is a desperate ploy,
and they are desperate indeed, but they think they've
figured out how to use the blogosphere to wage war
now, by letting us hint at the things they could
never say, that it is even MORE spooky.

9. I hope that you are right
" look always
at who repeats it and why."

I try to do that most often but with this Iran Nukes thing I can't help but worry. What if they are that stupid/crazy? So much has already happened that I never dreamed would be possible.

10. Contrarians always watch WillPitt
When the centrist dems start repeating planted
material to refute it, look at who planted it.

If you can wag your tail and get will pit to
put it on truthout and DU, then you've made a
huge noise without even breaking the surface.

Iran is politically impossible, there'll be a
mutiny in the command.

8. The quotes that scared me the most from Hersh's article...
"A government consultant with close ties to the civilian leadership in the Pentagon said that Bush was “absolutely convinced that Iran is going to get the bomb” if it is not stopped. He said that the President believes that he must do “what no Democrat or Republican, if elected in the future, would have the courage to do,” and “that saving Iran is going to be his legacy.” http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/articles/060417fa_fact

* really believes he's some sort of hero if he does this bombing plan. It is insane and scary. :scared:
