Abortion pill cleared
http://dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story/0,20281,18785850-5001027,00.html

WASHINGTON: Health officials have ruled out the abortion pill RU486 as the cause of death for one of two women who died after taking the drug.

(snip)
But the drug, also called Mifeprex or Mifepristone, has not been proven to be the cause in any of the cases, according to the FDA.

The recent deaths sparked renewed demands that the abortion pill be banned. After the latest deaths were made public in March, Republican Senators Jim DeMint of South Carolina and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma urged passage of legislation that would suspend sales of RU486.

_______________

I guess we'll have to notify Senators DeMint and Coburn that they jumped to conclusions about this. :eyes:
