Driver Arrested in Ferrari Crash Case

Sheriff's deputies have arrested the Swedish video game executive
who crashed his rare Enzo Ferrari in Malibu in February, alleging
that he didn't own that car and others in his $3.5 million exotic
car collection, authorities said Sunday.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said that Eriksson was arrested
after detectives concluded that the wrecked red Enzo -- as well as
a rare Mercedes and a black Enzo Ferrari -- were owned by British
financial institutions.

Eriksson told deputies who arrived at the scene that he was not the
driver and that another man, named Dietrich, had been behind the
wheel. Eriksson said Dietrich fled the scene. But detectives have
openly mocked his story. Investigators took a swab of Eriksson's
saliva to match his DNA against blood found on the Ferrari's
driver's-side air bag. The DNA results are back but detectives
won't release their findings.

During the search at Eriksson's Bel Air home, detectives found the
Black Enzo Ferrari, worth more than $1 million, Whitmore said. His
MacLaren Mercedes SLR, worth $600,000, was seized last month when
his wife was stopped in Beverly Hills for driving without a license.
That sports car was reported stolen to London's Scotland Yard.

1. Two things

1. What does this have to do with the wealthy paying more taxes, and

2. Help me out Ferrari enthuisiasts (and I subscribed to Cavalino for years, so I think I'm right). I should say his "Enzo Ferrari" is rare! There was only one of them, the man who started the company! No? Isn't the car simply called Ferrari,after the man named Enzo. Never in my life have I heard the cars called enzo ferrari's.

2. In a capitalist system, the rich have to pay more taxes.

By it's nature, capitalism has winners and losers.

As a price of benefiting from operating in such a system, the winners have to pay higher taxes.

If not, wealth will continue to concentrate at the highest levels and lead to undemocratic concentration of power by the wealthy.

Seeing the rapacious greed and destruction of the corporate cabal, I'm not sure capitalism is the best system.

3. 3.5 million exotic car collection!

of course breaking laws is routine for the rich but yeah thats more money then any person will ever need. Is anyone else starting to see the many problems with capitalism?
