little red wagon from Bush's childhood home
ah, memories. Little Georgie would tow around the body parts from the animals he tortured to death in this little wagon. Those were the days...

A red wagon is seen by the front door of the childhood home of President George W. Bush, in Midland, Texas, Monday, April 10, 2006. Former President George H. W. Bush along with his wife Barbara and current first lady Laura Bush will be in attendance Tuesday for the official dedication of the historical site. (AP Photo/Tony Gutierrez)

1. Will they "dedicate" it with frogs and firecrackers?
Add this place to my list of "historic sites"
I hope to someday visit...
and piss on.

3. What will the plaque read?
"Here began the end of American Democracy"

Some historical site. Are you sure they don't mean "hysterical" site?

12. Don't homes become historic sites after the president's out of office?
Edited on Tue Apr-11-06 11:15 AM by CottonBear
Another question: GHWB & Bar were both from very rich families, so why did they have such a small house?

I have no problem with the "historic" status, but it does seem to be too soon. Maybe the Bush people want to have the ceremony before Bush is sent to the Hague.

BTW, the Republicans were screaming and having fits a few months ago when Bill Clinton's childhood home was proposed to be made a historic site. Hypocrites. :grr:

19. I think he was there from age 3 until junior high?
Edited on Tue Apr-11-06 03:22 PM by Lisa
He was born in New Haven, Connecticut -- and his folks took him to Midland in 1948. The family moved to Houston in 1959. He went into an expensive private school after that.
