Gregg dismisses reports saying U.S. plans strike against Iran

WARSAW, Poland (New Hampshire) Senator Judd Gregg is in Poland working to discredit a report that the United States is considering bombing Iraq and saying the investigative journalist who wrote it is a joke.

Gregg is visiting several former communist countries this week. While in Warsaw with Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and North Carolina Senator Richard Burr, he said he expects the president will use diplomacy to solve the standoff with Iraq.

One report was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Seymour Hersh. Gregg compared Hersh with Donald Duck, saying he gives the reporter and the cartoon duck the same credibility.
