WHY is no one talking about Brewster Jennings?
* should be fried for what they did to Valerie/Joe BUT the moment he declassified her info, exposed her 'employer' they put 20 years of National Security in jeopardy. I have heard NO ONE mention this on TV. WHY are the dems not talking about this?

1. They should be.
It is a very serious issue. A breach of national security by the pResident who is keeping us safe.

I think it is an act of treason.

2. "WHY are the dems not talking about this?"
Fear?

The same reason the majority of Dems voted for the Iraq war and the Hatriot Act.

4. right. the focus on plame/wilson makes it seem like only they were hurt
when in fact shrub gutted an entire intelligence network that was tracking nuclear wmds.

if indeed he undermined our national security and increased our risk of a nuclear terrorist attack for the sole purpose of doing something nasty to one person he didn't like, that would be an astoundingly colossal display of criminal incompetence.

7. I don't get it........
Your accessment is correct. It is a total win for the dems. There is NO WAY he could justify doing this when it took 20 years to build the cover. WHOM is our MOST vocal Comgressperson/Senator on this issue? Time for a letter.
IF * was trying to 'educate' Americans on WHY it was important to go into Iraq WHY did he NOT hold a press conference when he declassified the info instead of leaking it? This is such kaka poo poo!

Wes Clark is ALL OVER.... he is loved by R's and D's..... but he is a free thinker. The evil left wing media never reports on his appearances. Hmmmm........

12. I contacted Robyn Blumner from the SPTimes about it today.
Told her it would make a great column for her. She could probably write a book about it.

Her reply:
Thanks for the idea, Rick. You make a great point. I haven't been writing on the "leaks" issue because it doesn't really involve civil liberties. But I've certainly been following it closely. --Robyn

Hopefully, she'll pick it up. She has the talent and readership, but it doesn't sound promising. Tomorrow I'll work on Josh Marshall, Eric Alterman, and a few others.

15. Give the issue lots of kicks!
We're talkin TREASON here folks! Don't let them spin it into, "The president can declassify information as he sees fit"!

He exposed and destroyed a 20 year, deep-cover intelligence operation, and everyone involved in it, to extract revenge on a political opponent!

21. There's too much "wild speculation" in the story.
As Bush/Rove would say, of course.

Also, there's too much "truth" for the media to uncover in regards to this issue. Meaning, of course, that they'd have it easier (and cheaper, and politically safer) to simply stay within the comfortable realm of "truthiness".
