Some lobbyists who gave $ to DeLay want their money BACK!
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Some_DeLaylinked_lobbyists_want_their_money_0410.html

“If I wanted to give to a legal fund, I would’ve done it directly,” snarled one GOP lobbyist who refused to have his name attached to such callous-sounding sentiments, even if DeLay is leaving Congress.

Another lobbyist who gives to Members on both sides of the aisle said, “It’s nauseating to think about” his campaign contribution going to fund DeLay’s legal team. “I’m realistic about it. He wouldn’t resign for no reason,” this lobbyist said, noting that the timing of DeLay’s departure came awfully close to the announcement of a plea agreement by his former aide Tony Rudy. “That all this money will go to the legal defense fund, it sickens me,” he added. “I have to pay for that?”

Another Republican lobbyist and past participant in DeLay fundraisers also declined to speak ill of “the Hammer” on the record, but said, “It’s interesting that he’s been fundraising up a storm and now he’s not going . I didn’t know we were going to support a legal fund.” He added, sarcastically, “Glad we can help him out with it.”

I hope this wasn't posted before, I just found it! I think this is just the funniest story of the day!!!!!!!

1. Suing the Devil for breach of contract.....
Anyone slimy enough to give him money in the first place
deserves far worse than the loss of a few dollars.

5. LOL... busted. While what he did isn't illegal
it certainly wasn't moral, or even clever. I'm glad to see some people aren't going to stand by and let him screw them. I figured this would go over the heads of anyone dumb enough to give money to Delay. Guess I was wrong.

6. I wonder how many are asking for $ back?
Aeveral weeks ago, I heard DeLay's legal fund was in trouble, although I haven't heard anything lately. I don't blame these guys for being pissed! Whatever their motives were, they didn't give $$ to his legal defense fund! I hope they make a BIG fuss, and I hope they do get their $$ back!!!!!

Instead of the bribe you were giving him? You deserve it.

8. Too bad...
This is the morally corrupt man you have been supporting all these years. Now that he has announced that he is quitting, and can't deliver legislation for you, you have the gall to be angry. He is the same man you have supported, but he was supporting YOUR causes, and legislation favorable to you.

See now how the rest of us feel, knowing that money bought his vote, regardless of how detrimental that vote was to us lowly peons. Taste the bitter cup we have swallowed for years, the poisoned wine of corruption that DeLay and his ilk have poured into American daily life. Choke on it.

9. I agree on your point of view, BUT I want to see them get their
money back because I don't want DeLay to have it for his damn legal defense fund! Hell, maybe he can really piss them off and donate it to charity!!!!

I want Delay bankrupt! I want HIM to have to suffer from the same bankruptcy laws he helped force through Congress!
