The text of two LTTE in the waxahachie Daily Light(not any of my usual cohorts..)

#1
In Wednesday’s Waxahachie Daily Light, we are criticized by Russ Roberts, a spokesperson for ExxonMobil as, “living in a fantasy world.”

ExxonMobil has not responded to our major points, that: 1. ExxonMobil has been involved in the genesis of the Iraq War and supports the war; 2. ExxonMobil has collected $7 billion out of it’s $36 billion record 2005 profit that it would not have were there no war; 3. ExxonMobil has a responsibility to return that $7 billion back to the U.S. and global society to meet emergency human needs, many of them traceable to ExxonMobil operations.

As a Vietnam vet, over half the names on that Wall were eligible after the administration knew their theory on policy was unwinnable. Many in today’s foreign policy were aides then, and the “greatest generation” founded the Corporate Military Industrial Complex now running our country. Bush Sr.’s own former Iraqi Ambassador, then a Republican, tried to warn us about WMD, and his wife (a CIA agent working on WMD) was ruined in an effort to discredit that truth as the UN address and the State of the Union was being used to sell their war. Now, most true Republicans are distancing themselves from Rove’s political machine to take over the country. Delay’s K-Street owns this country now. Will you stop buying the political spin, watch something other than FOX, and overcome “the deer in the headlights” state of mind enough to pay attention to where the money and power is in the fall election. How many more have to die on this lost cause because neocons tell you no one else “has a plan?”

and mine...

We have passed the three -year anniversary in Iraq, and now there is talk of nuclear warfare in Iran,pre-emptively,initiated by the United States. We have lost over 2300 soldiers in Iraq.17,000 soldiers have been wounded in battle, with another 25,000 soldiers removed from battle due to illness and non-combat related injuries(my son being one of them). Is it a coincidence that many retired generals and colonels are speaking out against the war and its perpetrators in the White House? Is it a coincidence that 55 of the 57 veterans running for Congress are Democrats?Do you really want to send your children to the Middle East to die for these lies? Please, vote carefully this November.Balance of power is critical for our system of government to work effectively. Our Republican Congress,Administration, and Supreme court are running this country down an evil path. Please, for the sake of all our children and grandchildren, stop this insanity with your vote for a Democratic Congress.

things will be interesting this Fall...
