The enemy can just FedEx their tanks here.

And not even Patrick Swayze can stop them.

1. Until every container (or at least more the few now) gets inspected,
I refuse to believe they are interested in real security for America.

What they are interested in is a beard to hide their spying on and rights abuse OF Americans. Oh, that and a big ol money siphon to private contractors.

2. Spy on every phonecall, but not on a few million freight containers
So, hundreds of billions of emails and phonecalls... or a few million containers?

What'll it be?

3. What we need is a demonstration....
We need to sneak about a dozen fake "army tanks" in freight containers into the country by way of Dubai.

And then roll them into the streets.

Just some old beat-up cars rigged with plywood frames to look like A-1 Abrams tanks.

And when they arrive in the U.S., we make sure there are video crews documenting the "invading army" rolling ashore.

And then we can pretend to surrender to the army of Elbonia.

Or perhaps The Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands.

We can greet them with flowers and chocolates.

5. Hell, just spike a few dozen containers
with signs that say 'if this was a bomb, you'd be in pieces by now'.

9. There are some REAL tanks owned privately
I knew a man in California years ago who had one fitted out with rubber treads so it could go on streets. He rented it out.

Yeah, showing how airport inspectors miss a lot of dangerous things is always a good news story. To do the ports thing would be GREAT. Whole armies and their equipment could be brought into this country via shipping containers while we are busy worrying about the border issues (which I also take seriously, but not like port security)

Those shipping containers get lifted off ships, onto rail and trucks with very little actual human observation. Big cranes and a handful of operators and spotters is all the human touch they get.

If DHS isn't worried about THAT, there really isn't much real threat as far as I can tell. But, you are right, they sure seem mighty intent on knowing who WE call and what WE are looking for on Google!

It sure as hell ain't us they are protecting!

America, if you really think many who attain power are not completely against democracy, study some recent history - like say the shit that went down in the 60s .

7. Well, the harder question would be...
Is there anyone in the world who isn't our enemy yet?

Nobody.

Oops.

I forgot Poland.

6. I've suspected for a long time
that the weapons are already here.

I am sure ObL and his boys had no idea just how incompetent the Bush Administration was and would take no chances.

8. We could be victim of the first "Mail-Order Invasion" in history

Unless you count The Trojan Horse.

"Oh, look! Shipping containers from (Insert any country other than Poland here)!"

"Do you think we should inspect them?"

"Nahh, let 'em go."

"Hey, is that an A-1 Abrams tank rolling out of that shipping container?"

"Maybe. But at least it's not full of Mexicans or gays."

"Yeah, good point."

"Besides... with gasoline costing $5.00 per gallon, that tank won't get anywhere."
