As we move into the 2006 & 2008 campaigns...
It will be necessary for the Democrats to out-Rove and out-Atwater Rove and Atwater. Think of Nixon's 1972 campaign as a model. Last time I checked that worked out pretty well for them. I don't want the Democrats to get tough, I want them to get evil and ruthless. For the good of the country some ugly things will just have to be done. For example, in some states Democrats have the Secretary of State's office, meaning they count the votes. Use your imagination. Or in Ohio, the law allows "poll watchers". Weeelll, think of stationing black or Hispanic Democratic poll watchers at lily white Republican precincts. We need our own swift boaters to, if need be, just downright make shit up. If John McCain is the nominee, his war record is fair game (I heard he gave aid and comfort to the N. Vietnamese while in captivity). I'm sorry if that bothers some people, but we tried it the "nice" way twice and in 2000 it resulted in one election that was close enough for the Republicans to steal, and a loss in 2004 (no, I'm not going to have that argument again). Now the country and the world are worse off.

"The Dark side of the force is the pathway to many abilities, some considered to be unnatural."

1. I'm going to have to disagree...
I cannot even begin to wrap my mind around this statement:

"For example, in some states Democrats have the Secretary of State's office, meaning they count the votes. Use your imagination.'

So what's the point in me continuing any sort of activism to ensure transparent elections, right?

2. Nope - can't agree with you.
The last thing I want is for the Democratic party to stoop to the level of the GOP. Otherwise, we'll be no better than them.

The reason I fight and the reason I'm here are because I believe I am on the side of truth. Eventually, I have to believe the good guys will win.

4. You DON'T Defeat Evil...
...by becomming evil yourself!

We have too much truth on our side.

Do we need to be willing to be downright freakin' mean? YES!

Become lying cheating bastards like them? HELL NO!

5. I'd rather lose and maintain honor and integrity than win and become THEM.
Sorry, can't rally behind this one.
