2. Oh, yeah. Delay is getting his due this morning. Bet Lamb is
needing a Depends about now. The vast majority of calls are calling him a criminal with just a few people getting through to spew the nonsense about how "honest" and "truth telling" Delay is. Now a caller is caling Lampson is a carpet bagger - which ya wanna bet that guy is with the Delay camp? Just another dirty trick.

Overall, it is not a good day for Delay and a perfectly beautiful day for people who are finally hearing some truth.

7. Yes, and Lampson might get a total of 150 votes in that dist.
I must say, the "friends of DeLay" are VERY passionate in his favor.

8. They are, but note the palatable FEAR factor...
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 08:12 AM by ShortnFiery
They are taking it as far as they dare but are always careful to say, "We don't know if he's guilty and can't pass judgment on whether he's ABSOLUTELY CORRUPT as of yet.

I found the reference to Gingrich returning after being, IMO, appropriately shamed and rail roaded out of Congress, quite shocking. Something to the effect, "Well he still may be a force on The Hill because those who have fallen in the past have found their niche."

I don't personally fault these correspondents for walking this tightrope and I am beginning to fear that he will NOT be convicted. :( Hope the kool-aid drinkers who called in to bash these reporters was taken careful note of. Can we say SCARY? For that's what we get in this post 911 fear mongering. The magnification of the fact that money and political power can buy you "the truth."

I wouldn't be writing his political eulogy any time soon. I'll be a believer when the figurative FINAL PROCLAMATION of our American Munkinland Barristers that he is, IN FACT - POLITICALLY DEAD is read across our airwaves. :P

----------------------------
My Fantasy goes as follows:

<Fraidy Cat (rightly so) American Munkins cry out in Unison>

"But we've got to verify it legally, to see, Mayor?

To see? Barrister?

If he, Mayor?

If he Barrister?

IF Tom Delay is morally, ethic'lly, spiritually, positively, absolutely, undeniably, reliably and POLITICALLY Dead!

<Our Political Coroner enters stage left>

As your Political Coroner I must aver, I thoroughly examined "the political" him
And not only is he merely (politically) dead, he's really most sincerely (politically) dead.

<Mayor joins in>

Then this is a Day of Independence For all us American Munchkins and our descendants!

<Barrister makes the final proclamation>

Yes, let the joyous news be spread The wicked Old Political *bitch* Tom Delay is at last - POLITICALLY DEAD!

--------------------

Don't be holding your breath unless we "American munckins" don't assist those honest barristers :blush:, umm, I mean those honest LAWYERS to make the above happen. ;)

9. Nice to see Lamb challenge the caller who was putting
words in the reporters' mouths, I think that was a first.

10. Yep, that was good.
That caller had no clue and Lamb took him apart. I'm not going to say I've never embarrassed myself like that but I'm glad I've never done it before a national audience.

11. "Emily, get out of the way"
The WSJ article he brought up, about the jilted lover, Scanlon dumped her.
And that might have something to do with the leaks.

Well that's Emily Miller, Colon Powell's famous handler, that tried to get the camera turned off during a live interview that Powell was doing in the
mideast, for Meet the Press.

12. Yea, I heard the WJ guest say many think she was the beginning
of the leaks on Scanlon. Never underestimate the power and revenge of a woman scorned!
