Bottom Line: Bush Lied to America
He pretended he had no knowledge of any of this, when in fact he clearly did. Both on dissent about the Aluminum tubes, and on the effort to defend against Wilson.

Bush lied, people died.

2. Exactly.
Not matter if he "meant" for Plame's ID to be leaked or not, he lied about it later. And I'm not even particularly interested in the criminal case -- he lied to the American people and I don't even think most Sheeple are going to take that.

9. But he avoided testifying under oath to Fitzgerald's investigators,
thereby consciously avoiding a perjury charge.

No matter how obious these criminal bozos are, it seems a high percentage of America still backs them. Maybe this last outrage will break the camel's back, we think, and the American public and press will stand for their felonous idiocy no more.

I think so this time, but I have been mistaken before.

16. Obstruction of justice
plus, lying to federal investigators is a crime, too. Not as serious as perjury, but still a crime.

12. There are still folks who say he simply "misled" not "lied"
Regardless of what Bush did, we're in for one long night of pain in Iraq.

BTW, I don't really give a damn if he simply misled or outright lied. I am against war on principle. The only war I'd ever entertain the government drafting me into is one of self-preservation. If Nazi Germany or the USSR or even China were to send 10,000,000 troops into the continental US, sure, I'd fight.

But I'm not going to go 10,000 miles half way around the world to fight a tin-pot dictator running a 3rd world country who had nothing to do with Sept. 11 or anything to do with Osama bin Laden.

The only people who are really benefiting from this war are the war profiteers with their multi-billion dollar no-bid contracts and more government orders for more guns, tanks, and bombs.

"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives."

-- Gen. Smedley Butler, War Is A Racket (1935)
