2. I love south Park....but in no way would a muslims ever riot over
South Park episode. Some of my best friends are muslims and their kids watch south park all the time, and they never censured their kids, unlike American Movie Stars.
10. That's exactly the point...many Westerners think of Muslims
as group of fanatic non-reasoning folks that would react to anything against Islam depiction. But that is not a true to a least. A cartoon is one that many can tonne off, however, a newspaper can be believed by many in that it is a fact or a truth written by a journalist...and that was why many muslims felt uncomfortable with Christan Danish editor (who declined to publish Jesus pictures earlier of the year) and chosen Mohamed instead...
So basically the episode was about a Family Guy episode getting banned because they were going to show Mohammed. Which is what South Park is planning to do next week I guess.
So by making fun of banning something they're hoping Comedy Central will be shamed into not banning next weeks episode? Because the show ended with "That's if Comedy Central doesn't puss out" or something to that effect.
12. It does bother me that it's gotten so specifically preachy
The shows are now more about the people making the cartoon, that what's going on inside the cartoon. It's a cool dynamic, and they usually do great with it, but sometimes they overreach.
