An optimistic prediction: By the end of the year the public opinion
of those who insist on 10 mpg joyride SUVS will be spiraling, and those who drive down the road in giant black holes will have to put up with so much road side and signage ostracizing that sales will plummet - SELL THAT HUMMER NOW!

1. I've worn a "draft the SUV drivers first" button since 2003
It wasn't until this year that people started nodding and laughing. Before that they pretended not to understand...maybe they didn't...and gave me quizical looks without commenting.

You could be right.

2. its the industries fault!
They have mislead us once again and when regulations where set forth to govern the admissions of cars, trucks where left out because according to the lobbyist "a working man needs his truck" so trucks don't have to meet the admission requirements of cars which the industry has totally taken advantage of. You couldn't have a Hemi in a new car but in a dodge truck not a problem. The industry also used its add campaigns to mildly brain wash people into thinking SUVs and Trucks are much safer and secure, which we all know is the basis for everything now..security

Cant blame the sheep when they where mislead down the path!

3. My boss just bought a gass guzzling Ford Explorer.......
I tried to explain to her backwards and forwards why this is a bad, bad move. She's otherwise a very intelligent, capable woman. I told her I didn't want to hear her bitching when gas prices hit $3.50 a gallon.
