If I were Cynthia McKinney....
Edited on Sun Apr-02-06 06:19 PM by happydreams
I would take this flap over the policeman thing and turn it into a opportunity to slam the Repukes.

A suggested rant for Cynthia:
"Just think about it. The Bush fascists can start wars, torture, spy, profiteer, bankrupt the country, etc. and get away with it, but if a Democrat has a scuffle with a cop it is blared relentlessly by the "liberal Press" as some big deal. Why the double standard? Think about this America. Why are the crimes of these people downplayed while the minor incidents of their political opponents made such a big issue of? I can't think of a better illustration of who runs the media in this country than this double standard. I really made these fascist hogs angry a few years ago when I tried to expose the pork barrel politics regarding the Crusader missile program. I'd like to remind you that the Pentagon said they didn't need and didnt' want the Crusader missile, but the Republicans in Congress pushed it anyway. The Republicans then went after me politically by putting up a democratic puppet candidate opposing me in the primaries, switching parties for that election and voting me out of office. There is lots more that I want to talk about...."

1. I WAS going to correct your English
but I read your post. You are right on with this. I am still completely astonished at the vilification of Cynthia McKinney for merely asking for a full investigation.

But, remember, Socrates was put to death for merely getting people (the youth of Athens) to ask questions.

(Just for the record, it's "If I were ....")
