1. Following up on the other post

Isn't there a $5000 cap on contributions?

Is DU set up with an account for this or would it have to go through a DU member?

If we do this all over the internet, there's no visual, no story. I'm in Madison and would be willing to collect and deliver a check or checks to the Progressive Patriots Fund to his office but that's not much of a visual either!

The other thing is- Feingold has "listening sessions" all around the state, which is why we like him so much! He is having one on April 8 and two on April 10 and April 11. I'm sure we could gather enough DUers from WI to approach him during a listening session and make a public display of thanking him and presenting a check.

on behalf of DUers at the same time as KOS delivers the Sunflowers? I love the idea of showing collaboration with other netroots!

Don't know about the 'individual' checks, tho. Sounds like a logistical nightmare. What about a Paypal link set up to collect, and then cut one 'hugh' check!!

10. I just love the visual...

of a shrub or tree covered with checks. If we had one address to mail the checks to, it would be easy to get the tree and attach the checks to it. I live in Maryland so I could definitely help, I'm just not good at organizing things so I wouldn't want to be in charge of the checks. I would get the tree, help decorate it and help deliver it, if we could find another DUer to organize getting all the checks. I'm also just not on here enough to spearhead it but I would definitely help!

I wonder if Skinner would let us have the checks mailed to Democratic Underground? I think they are in DC. If so, I could get the tree and meet him, or someone, in the DC area, decorate it with flags and checks, and deliver it to Feingold's office.

Individual checks made out to his pac in the same amount would be a wonderful visual. That is where you get the press involved.
