Thank you Feingold, Leahy, Dean, Fein
And to all you Democratic senators who abandoned Feingold today, shame on you. If you're not going to stick up for the Constitution then you're not doing your job and need to lose your seat. The people of this country didn't elect you so you'd wimp out whenever Bush craps on the things we all hold dear.

2. John Dean...
I believe the OP's reference is to John Dean's testimony against the
bush monarchy...not Howard Dean.

9. why? if they can call us traitors for us pointing out their serial
violations of the constitution, from stealing the election, for lying about an illegal invasion, to eavesdropping on people who oppose them politically (just to name three of the WORST things they've done), how is that over the top?

just kidding, sorta

7. I agree -- I was sickened by all the empty chairs on the Dem side
Only Leahy and Feingold even bothered to SHOW UP. (Hey, others could have taken a break from the immigration debate at least long enough to show support for Feingold's effort.) On the Thug side, Cornyn, Hatch and Graham were there to throw mud (especially at John Dean, who acquitted himself well nonetheless), yet there weren't at least an equal number of Dems to put in their two cents' worth. Very disheartening.

8. The Dems who did not support this are Republican accomplices
AND THEY NEED TO BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE. WE HAVE NO REPRESENTATION. THE DESIRES OF THE PEOPLE ARE NOT REFLECTED AT ALL IN THIS CONGRESS.

Our current administration and the Republican-led congress is pissing all over the Constitution.

And every Democrat who is not attempting to put a stop to it is as guilty as the Republicans doing it - they are enablers - and they must be removed from office, just as if they were George Bush himself.

11. Angry as I am,
I can't possibly pin that label on them. People like Kennedy have served honorably for too long to be besmirched like that.

12. Well, where in the hell was he? He could have made a
statement of some sorts. I've been a Kennedy fan for long time. But, I'm very disappointed with him now. He's got nothing to lose by helping Feingold, Conyers and Murtha as they try to slow the Bush monarchy down.

He is an old, rich man who probably is serving his last term in the Senate. I repeat what has he got to lose by standing up for the Constitution?

13. Those not showing up
make me sick, even those that I like. They didn't think the testimony was worth listening to. They'd rather just not hear it? It's their job to hear and consider it.
