An illegal-immigrant story the news should cover
Stories of overloaded vans full of illegals that roll over and kill everyone on board, are occasionally reported on the news. However, I have yet to see a story investigating the circumstances leading up to the accidents.

Someone needs to interview the surviving family members to find out if the victims were recruited and promised jobs in the U.S.

If a business is found to be involved in the trafficking of humans, and people die, shouldn't someone face criminal prosecution?

1. What are you suggesting?
Are you suggesting we hold employers accountable? But these are brush's base, the haves and have mores. Do you think we live in an "ownership society"? :sarcasm:

2. There have been stories circulating for years that major
companies, for example the meat packing industry in Arizona, have recruiters who look for people willing to come into this company illegally and work. In fact, there's been cases (so it has been said) of these people being herded into vans and brought all the way to Nebraska and beyond.

Someone needs to look into this for sure. And put a halt to it.

3. We certainly couldn't depend on our local news stations to do it.
Mike McKnight, channel 6 news investigative reporter. He looks tough going after some poor guy whose business was going under and owed a few people, but he's to much of a wimp to go after the real criminals.

More people would be democrats in this state, if the news wasn't "sanitized".
