The bullshit that the repubs want us to think about, any time they want us to think about it. And when they want us to think about something else, they change the subject. We fall for this predictable and lame tactic every fucking time. Which poses the question: How politically savvy are we, really? If we continually allow ourselves to be led around by the nose, by the very people we are supposedly hell-bent on kicking out of office?

Why are we seemingly so content, even eager to keep eating the shit the repubs feed us?

Wake the fuck up, people.

The furor over immigration right now is a prime example of how the repubs constantly kick our ass politically.

We dems are notorious for our fierce independence and complete distaste for marching in lockstep, like the opposition is good at doing.

Well, this time we really need to sound one bugle call. We need to keep up the same drumbeat. There are some here who joke about multi-tasking, but the fact is we are all over the map that the repubs hand us.

How can we expect to turn this country around, if we continue to use the map that the repubs have given us? It only leads to the fork in the road. And fuck the Slawson cut-off.

Too many dems keep falling for and eating this bullshit up. And too many DUers here are too damned contrary to admit that we need to be more unified in our message.

I've been around twice as long as many here, and have a real understanding of just what is at stake, and what mistakes we continue to make as a political party. And right now I see we aren't learning very much.
