8. If the average TX CHL holder would get his permit yanked for being
under indictment for a nonviolent felony (which I believe is the case), then DeLay shouldn't be treated any different.

If anybody else in the same situation would be allowed to keep the permit, then he should be as well.

In short, he should be treated the same as the law would treat any other citizen.

leave town let alone carry a gun.

This is all just another ploy by Tom to get the gun rights people to support him. He's a desperate man acting as if he deserves to be treated differently from other common run of the mill felons. The law applies to him the same as it would for anyone else. All crooks are equal in the eyes of the law.
