New Angle on Immigration Issue
In my past life, I used to invetigate Social Security fraud, and I know that every one of those 8 million? 10 million? 20 million? illegal aliens are using somebody's (yours?) Social Security number. That is a felony under US law. And they are not just using it to work, but to buy get credit cards, buy cars, even buy houses. If you think this doesn't screw up your credit, guess again! I've personally seen people's lives destroyed by this. One guy (he was a Hispanic US citizen and ex-Marine) had over THIRTY illegal aliens using his SSN. I've confiscated thousands and thousands of fraudulent SS cards. I've talked to people who have gotten notices from IRS about un-reported wages from places they've never even visited. Guess who did the work! Just thought I'd share this angle, which nobody is mentioning.

1. Is the SS Admin. so inept that they don't notice a SS number
being used in multiple locations/jobs at the same time?

2. Or could it be a case of the left hand
not knowing what the right hand is doing?

How much information sharing between different institutions/businesses really does and/or doesn't go on? How many of them really care about the consequences of tomorrow as long as they make that money today?

...just wondering...

4. I once inspected a company's personnel files,
and under the same Hispanic name, I found six, count 'em, six, different applications with six different company photos. Six different guys, all working under the same SSN, all in the same FILE. That shows you how much the companies care about it.

3. Info goes to IRS first...
When Social Security gets it,if the names don't match, the SS adminstration does not post the wages, but if it's Sanchez and Sanchez, it WILL post. So mainly, the people who get screwed are those with Hispanic surnames. And some people DO work more than one job, and the HQ of the company can be anywhere.

This whole issue of wages does NOT apply to credit however, as the credit bureaus will post ANYTHING to ANYBODY'S account.
