What time on Thurs? How long of a time committment? When you say "arrange" do you mean put them nicely in vases, or arrange to pick them up somewhere and drop them off? Etc.

I don't know the exact time yet, just that it will be Thursday afternoon at Helen Thomas's office - 1200 roses ( 48 bunches of 25 ) and vases to be filled with the roses (arriving via fed ex in boxes). Shears will be provided as well.

Explain the situation. The staff people would probably know some reliable local people. You might also check with a few friendly PACs.

This should to be a pure grass roots effort. No official or organization should have direct involvement.

17. You might check with hospitals, clergy, or other non profit

I am guessing that she will be sending most of them to a local hospital or charity. You might be able to work a deal with the organization that will ultimately receive them.

You might want to contact Senator Boxer's office. They might be able to provide some suggestions or contact information. I imagine that they looked into a number if options for dealing with the issue.

20. I've gotten a couple responses - I imagine a couple people will

make it! I got this from the florist on timing:

I will know better on Wednesday, when they are shipped out. Fed Ex can't
guarantee an exact time, but it will most likely be in the afternoon before
4 PM. Sorry I couldn't be more accurate than that.
