If only the People of long ago Greece/Sparta/France/England
Could see Bush today as the Leader of our Nation...They would HURL :puke:

They must be laughing their asses off from their perch as they look upon Bush and Crew has fucked up the Nation and how they go about Governing

Hereditary reigns get like that. And * is one example!

Samuel Pepys wrote the same way about a king, during his time, that we on DU write about the chimp. It's the power that corrupts, and the contempt for the little people, and the disconnect. That's why our Constitution is written the way it is: and it's high time we start living by it!

3. OH, I AGREE.....What I was inferring to was their courage/tenacity
And their offspring was very often spoiled and jaded...

But what do you do when we have a prime example in our Oval Office who is a Pretender? we vote him out and History will be his legacy

a very bad legacy at that.

5. I guess we must "endure"
and hope the damage isn't too great. I don't have too much hope of people learning from this "mistake"--although maybe they'll remember it for a little while.

The only consolation to * winning a second term is that he'll have a change to really seriously damage the GOP and that it will last for a while.
