Isn't it curious how democratic amendments were added to Immigration
bill?

We never have had amendments pass in the past. In fact most of the time we are locked out of the process.

So now protests have an impact on law making or social policy??? Since when?

Am I the only one out here that feels like this was a hugh manipulation?

Am I the only one that feels set-up? Catapulted by the propaganda??

3. Bush and his business buddies WANT more immigrants
Immigrants drive down labor costs and bust unions. It's just a marriage of convenience that many Democrats support immigration for more naive reasons.

7. The repukes posturing with their "tough on immigration"
demos posturing with their "compassion on immigration". In the end the corporations are protected, they get their slave labor, the single party rule in this country hand their constituents another win.

The last I checked the hispanic population that is able to vote, votes democratic. The racist, bigoted minutemen and their lovers vote repuke. The big money votes repug and dino.

4. Of course it was. I watched the whole thing and at no point
did I hear any substantive discussion as to the impact of the bill on the wages of the American worker.

I also heard no one speak of penalties for the employers. In fact, what I did hear was what the employers needed!

Sorry, but most of the members of Congress listen to corporate lobbyists (campaign financers) and not to us. Period.
