The Today Show has successfully ignored the new memo that
cites Bush and Blair's determination to go to war, no matter what.

I had high hope yesterday with MSNBCs coverage and now they have totally dropped the ball.

The Today Show is the venue where most people get their national news in the morning......

Doesn't The Today Show say that it's where most Americans get their morning news?

They couldn't say that if it weren't true, could they?

6. They so rarely have any news there.
It's all about cooking and celebrities. Yuck. It makes me sick. I don't want morning sickness!

8. Oh. I see.
I didn't know that.

But does that mean that MOST Americans actually watch a morning news show? Or are they number one amongst the people who do?

9. I concede that I worded my statement incorrectly. It is the number one
show of those who watch a morning national "news" show in the morning. That doesn't change the point of what I am trying to say. The Today Show is ignoring a huge story and by doing so, is misinforming their viewers by omission. If you disagree with that, please let me know.

10. No, I'm not trying to pick on you!
Someone earlier said their slogan is "where america gets its news" or something like that.

I think it's a sad state of affairs that ANYONE would watch that tripe and consider themselves to be informed!

I had a thread last week about GMA's poll of viewers -asking the viewers what NEWS should be reported! Turned it off and haven't watched a national morning show since. Local news and NPR - that's how I start my day now.

11. Iris, the fact of the matter is that you, I and I guestimate that at least
99% of DUers receive their news from credible venues, but that isn't the rest of America. That is why Bush was able to get away with the Iraq and 9/11 link for so long and so many supported him in his illegal immoral war. That is why it is taking forever for America to wake up. Most people live very busy self-absorbed lives and the little "news" that they get are from programs like GMA and the Today Show. It's sad but true. My original post, although not as clear as I should have written it was to once again assert how the American people are being kept in the dark very successfully...

And Iris

12. They should really rename "The Today Show" to something
more representative of what it is, like "The Katie and Matt Fluff Show" or "NBC Censored Morning News" or "Right Wing Propaganda Show" so that people know what they're really getting.

How they remain #1 is beyond me. I suppose the Kool Aid drinkers are too stupid to know how to change the channel.

17. The Today Show is a Joke
The people who created it must be turning in their graves. It is so "happy & fun" that it is incredibly annoying. For some reason, those people cheering in the background always get on my nerves like fingers on a chalkboard. I'd avoid it, but they have it on in the breakroom at work every damn morning.
