1. Word is , it was postponed for several months to a year.
although, If Iran did put it into operation, I doubt we'd hear the truth about it in the western press.

3. We won't be invading Iran any time soon.
Republicans are cowards. They do not invade countries where the
masses will shoot back. Saddam's military was weak and confused.
Our people knew that before they invaded. Much as a huge segment
of the Iranian population hates the Ayatollahs, they would not
take kindly to us invading their country, especially after seeing
the mess we made of Iraq.

Besides, Dick Cheney, via Halliburton, still owns a house on the
Iranian resort island of Kish (I have an Iranian exile friend who
also has a house there--it's apparently common knowledge in Iran).
Also, Halliburton, Cayman Islands, Ltd., was in talks with the
Iranian government to develop a natural gas field in Iran. This
was as of Feb. 2005. I have no more recent information as yet.
Now,as everyone knows, there is an embargo on against doing business
with Iran.

There is a loophole, though. "Arm's length" subsidiaries of U.S. companies
may trade with Iran if there is a provable "arm's length" distance
between the main company and the subsidiary. Now as everybody knows,
the Cayman Islands is just chock full of natural gas fields, and this
is why Halliburton needs a subsidiary there, right? (wrong) Cheney would
never put his investment at risk, and Lynne would probably hate to lose
the house on Kish, too. Plus, don't forget, that little matter of the
distinct possibility that the Iranians would shoot back. There will be
no invasion of Iran.

4. "There will be no invasion of Iran."
I agree...Bullies only pick on easy prey! Iran has all of Saddam's planes plus it's own. China and Russia will take sides with Iran. The neocons are flexing their muscles to put on a BIG SHOW for Israel and Bush's, "haves and have mores." As much a show to try and push their "I'm Protecting America" LIE, in order to try and win elections in November...SMOKE AND MIRRORS a Karl Rove Political War Production, starring Bonzo BushCo!

5. I think the game plan is for * and friends to destabilize Iran from
within by funding certain groups, and THEN go invade.

6. That sounds more like their MO...
Thief in the night type diplomatic approach, with a slight touch of that Texas Mafia's, "Chainsaw Diplomacy" flavor.
