And with the price of oil going up, I suppose they'll be trying to sell us on building more of these doomsday reactors.

I mean, God forbid we utilize cheap, clean, RENEWABLE energy sources...

3. It's really rather difficult to blow any reactor up like that.
The Soviets pretty much outdid themselves.

Oh, and the waste that's radioactive for thousands of years - I feel SO secure knowing that those drums are protected by a plastic sheet atop some clay liner - right above my aquifer.
