And now the media picks out another local news story to make us care about as a national news story.

I thought they would pick the Midwest to choose their next local news story to make national.

3. You are right...to top it off it doesn't even appear that they
utilized the Amber Alert, they didn't declare it a criminal investigation until yesterday or today. The most critical hours in a missing child case is the first 24 hours....the police blew this because they were a couple of black children...

It makes me crazy!!!:banghead:

5. There are days here when you have "amber alert" one after another

all day on the radio, if someone could make some kind of "TIVO" to use a delay and skip those I would be one of the first in line.

counntry preacher's "murder". Since authorities are ruling out infidelity on his part, the "expert" talking heads are tossing around the idea that he may have molested his daughters.

This shit will get too much airplay. It already has.

6. Cable news is ridiculously obvious in their quest to scare and distract
That is why they exist. Some say it is always about ratings and money. Cable news just gives America what it wants to make the most amount of money possible. I propose that, remarkably, they can act as instruments of control for the BushCo elites and STILL BE PROFITABLE at the same time.

7. Hmm, she shot him in the BACK?
That certainly suggests she was physically or psychologically battered. She had a year-old baby--maybe it was post-partum depression. Or maybe, like Andrea Yates, she just wasn't happy.

8. Andrea had a lot more going on than mere unhappiness, though.

9. That's right, of course--Andrea wasn't "merely" unhappy
But I think it was at least a big as factor as her post-partum depression. If she saw eliminating all her children (rather than only the youngest one, her husband, or herself) as the solution to her problem, maybe her real goal was murdering the super-religious super-mom that she no longer wanted to be.
