"... And the Democrats in Congress Just Sit on The Their Hands..."
BuzzFlash Headline:

Bush Stumbles Toward Armageddon: Iraq's ruling parties demanded U.S. forces cede control of security on Monday as the government launched an inquiry into a raid on a Shi'ite mosque that ministers said saw "cold blooded" killings by U.S.-led troops. And the Democrats in Congress Just Sit on Their Hands. (Forget About the Republicans. They are Opportunistic Traitors.)

Curiosly, they've been on our side for some time now. I believe the Democratic powers that be, need to know, that patience is wearing thin EVERYWHERE!

DO SOMETHING !!! - ANYTHING !!!

12. WAIT A MINUTE..
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 10:31 PM by flyarm
THESE ARE PEOPLES LIVES BEING SNUFFED OUT and or destroyed..are we all to sit quietly back and forget that and not even demand action by our own or responsibility by our own??

this reminds me of being numb..when you watch tv and hear murders daily on your local news and you no longer hear it..i call congress people daily ..yes dems and i demanmd that they stand up and speak out..i get hung up on by our own..and i cry for the lives being snuffed out daily in iraq...

so what ...we hear of more deaths and murders and we should wait for dems to speak out..because the repugs will self destruct??

well then we are all self destructing when we care so little about human life..yes human life in a country we had no damn business destroying and starting a war in..i am sick of- all americans- who care so damn little about the lives being lost and destroyed in iraq..

both repug and dem need to be held accountable..for those who started this murder and those who are silent about it....these are peoples lives being snuffed out..

i see the little ladies crying in iraq and i cry and ache for them..and i have begun to hate my country ..the country i have loved for 50+ years..i used to feel embarrassed by my country when * started this illegal war....the Brave and proud USA..now i feel shame..

disgust and shame..

and my heart aches for a people i do not know..and the loss ..my country... has brought to them!

and its not just repugs that have caused their loss!

its about time every responsible American start screaming from the roof tops..and that includes dems who are supposed to be representing us..

42. no but they can darn well speak out about the lies!!
no one is stopping them from that but themselves..i would have more respect for anyone who spoke out..like we all cheered Helen Thomas..i would cheer and send them every dime i had if they spoke out..and called the lies what they are... damn filthy lies..i will not sink down to the keep quiet group.. ..or the "we won't win game"..win what then??

what will we have won??????
this isn't a game of win and loose..the people loosing daily are those in our uniforms and those who are being treated inhumainly or being killed and murdered illegally in an illegal war ..in our name...

not in my name ..thanks but no thanks...

there are still people being murdered in our name every day..and i do not want my name on this murder..and if i am going to support anyone they damn well better start speaking out about the lies and this illegal war of murder and lies of this admin that took us to this illegal war..

what is the fact that dems have no power keeping them from going on tv and telling the american people about PNAC??

what about power is stopping that??

what about being in power or not is keeping the dems from saying this war was a war of choice..and an illegal war???????????

what is it about having power or not that keeps dems from speaking the truth???????
that * concieved of this war illegally and planned it..and executed it..alll in the name of a god he lies about???????

what is to keep any dems of saying * is lying that everything is under control in iraq when it is obvious it is now in civil war...

what is it about not being in power that is keeping dems from supporting feingold for holding * accountable for breaking our laws and shredding our constitution?????????

i give respect now only to those who earn it.,..and that number is shrinking by the day..

Helen Thomas gets my respect..she is willing to fight for my country and her integrity..

Russ Feingold gets my respect..because he is willing to stand up for truth and the laws of my once proud land..the rest have to earn it for now on!

BBV? Dude, in NYC we've had lever machines with no paper trail since I was born - and my state, true to form, hasn't made a decision on a new system, but heck, we even signed the Declaration of Independence a week late. We've already got a law mandating a voter verified paper trail, so that's covered.

I perform my public service every day - but don't want to discuss my work here. I act locally, but think globally - and action is the remedy to the despair you express.

I was convincing powerful forces to reject e-voting before most DUers even heard of Diebold.

And every day, I'm helping the greatest city in the world stay safe.

So you can keep shouting - I'll enjoy the fruits of my labors.

He actually said "The Republican controlled congress and their ALLIES across the aisle."
Or something to that effect.

He also made it clear that over half of SITTING dems voted AGAINST the IWR. A

I don't know who the brilliant fucking strategists are on these blogs, but I want to send them a message: Using every opportunity now to bash Democrats with every bit of eagerness as the right wing does, IS NOT GOING TO HELP US FUCKING TAKE BACK CONGRESS THIS YEAR! All this stupid, short-sighted unproductive bickering and dem bashing is doing nothing to help our cause. Fucking nothing. It is imperative that we win back congress this year. Guess what blogger Einsteins, publicly bashing the democratic party every chance you get ain't gonna fucking do it.

Hmmm. The state of things today I would think you'd actually care. Silly me.

See, challenging our leaders to do better and voicing displeasure and dissent are welcomed and necessary. I'm the last person to walk in lockstep. But there are worlds of difference between constructive criticism and simply all out counter-productive, would make the right wing proud dem bashing. It is the latter that I rally against, as it is just simply AGAINST everything we are here to do, is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE to our mission and goals, and is quite simply just plain stupid.

62. Come on
Views on immigration break into two camps. At one end are law-and-order types, mostly conservative Republicans, who want to tighten border security and step up enforcement against illegal workers. The business community, the Roman Catholic Church, many Republicans and most Democrats occupy the other camp -- joined, notably, by President Bush. Although they generally support tougher enforcement, they also want to change federal law to allow illegal workers to gain legal status so they can continue to fill many low-skill jobs that they believe would otherwise go vacant. Moreover, they say, welcoming outsiders is a core American ideal.

"Each generation of immigrants brings a renewal to our national character and adds vitality to our culture," Bush said in a speech yesterday. "Newcomers have a special way of appreciating the opportunities of America, and when they seize those opportunities, our whole nation benefits."

But Bush's position has split Republicans . Former White House aide David Frum, writing on the Web site of the National Review, said of the president's proposal: "His version of immigration reform can only pass Congress with Democratic votes, and there is zero possibility that the Democrats will help him -- but every likelihood that they will egg him on to incite a Republican civil war on the issue that most bitterly divides the president's party."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/27/AR2006032701837.html

Think about it. Sitting on their hands is the very, very best thing they can do on this issue. We need 15 seats to take back the House and put Conyers into the chairman's seat on the Judiciary Committee...and the only thing that makes getting those seats anything other than the longest of long shots is the possibility of the GOP incinerating itself over an issue of signal importance.

Like this one.

We are at war with the GOP and this administration. Sometimes is war, the best way to do something is to do nothing, and let the enemy damage itself.

Now if that's cowardly, if that's quisling, well then tell me where to sign and I'll join the Cowardly Quisling Democrats Club. Stuff like this can put Conyers into that chair, and there's your impeachment, there's your accountability, there's checkmate on these psychopathic idiots. That's the most progressive goal I can imagine, and yes, the Democrats sitting on their hands so as not to get in the way of a perfectly good train wreck is part of achieving that goal in this specific instance.

Let them tear themselves apart. It will be vastly entertaining to watch.

they have to vote don't they?

"the only thing that makes getting those seats anything other than the longest of long shots is the possibility of the GOP incinerating itself over an issue of signal importance"

don't forget BBV.

but besides, the point is they HAVE TO participate in the governance or why do they even show up? this, in my mind is larger than just this single issue... it is indicative of their whole approach to governance, lets just sit back, let the reTHUGs get what they want till people want a change than we'll give'm reTHUG lite.

i am sick and tired of it and i ain't the only one.

change is a long time comin & it is way over due.

55. Let's See... BuzzFlash Fires A Wake Up Shot At The Dems...
Edited on Tue Mar-28-06 12:13 AM by WillyT
Malloy does the same every hour of his show, nightly... Seder and Garafalo likewise... Maddow and half the blogs as well.

I repeat it here, and many on DU wet their jammies in a Feingold night-sweat.

I'm sorry, must have missed the memo when DU was instructed to be sycophants of the Democratic Party.

So much for the underground part.

When I think the party I've been loyal to since 1974 is fucking up, I'll damn well say so.

63. I am frightened of people who despise Democrats so much..
that they would rather attack them than attack Republicans. Our Democrats moved more ahead in the polls today, but it does not seem to matter to some of you.

That worries me.

65. I hate it when people use the knee-jerk in reference to what I say.
When they are painting everyone in the party with the same tired old brush, without realizing that many are fighting for us.
