The rich life?
I have been thinking alot about what may motivate inequality...I am playing around with thoughts on this..

Why is it that among the fortunate ones with the rich life, and the unfortunate ones that enable the fortunate ones to live so well do things stay the same for the most part?.

It's kinda strange to me,when less rich people do cost benefit analysis of their own fortunes they turn the deprivation inward to fix it if it lacks.. They tighten their own belts. They forgo things, save. And such,or at least that is what some working class people have been taught to do to stabilize their financial lives from their own working class parents. If you want a feeling of stability to prevail in your life,as a working or poor person, periodically deprive yourself first, and work harder and igf you fail blame yourself first.. Sad thing is some people are so confused they can't do this, others are overwhelmed by instability and the betrayal of the workers by the wealthy they are almost suicidal in their escape spending.

The super wealthy do not think like this the same way as middle and lower class people do.They are raised with a different ethic..They are taught to assume more money will come where that came from as long as they can cut costs and gamble well in investments and put money away to get huge interests. The rich LIKE the institutions that benefit them and their own stability. They are taught to assume they are entitled. That"other people" will be coerced to tighten THEIR own belts before the rich so they don't have to tighten anything. Old money has a bit of self consciousness however the depression ,the new deal, and the 60's tempered their ambitious arrogance, with a demand for equality from beneath them and they resent it to this day..So now the rich who are stable in their wealth are "unpretentious" about what they have in public.

Maybe it's fear of raising the ire of the people they exploit or maybe some residual shame at their entitled self deception that allows them the life we all want,or is it because now the rich have the stability of being able to tell themselves they are safe and somewhat better at controlling reality than working class people are and can prove it to themselves. Rich people have had a different upbringing. They are taught the wisdom of controlling the depletion of their pleasures to maximize the stability and homeostasis they enjoy through social rank, power and money that frankly most people on this earth will NEVER know.

People who are poor who get money go hog wild on pleasure because they are deprived and their dreams denied their entire lives. they have no hope in living out some potentials,So they assume homeostasis is a fantasy because in their world getting fired means homelessness ,getting sick means late fees on bills.,the working poor live in a very uncertain way.. One trauma can mean a long standing disaster and upheaval in their lives. So when you are conditioned to instability you get a take it while it is here for it may be taken away tomorrow. It's a kind of trauma based survival based programming that is built upon living in unstable conditions for years in a world where literally nothing is free or sure in life except death taxes and pain(that is the world we all live in,some are more insulated by fortune and luck from it than others are). Middle class people with a bit of stability like to reinforce their own entitlements like the rich do,by giving themselves credit for luck,so they can look down their nose at the crazy spending of the working poor, The middle class folks don't realize how fortunate they are to feel so secure and stable that saving money IS an option they can do and it will work for them. And the middle class don't want to realize how much closer they are to the working poor than they are to the super wealthy who's arrogance they ape.

Sad reality is our planet is limited, yet reproduction is unlimited as long as people want sex and sperms meet eggs more people will come here and resources are made more scarce with every birth for humans population is well beyond the earth's carrying capacity for us,civilization had insulated us from nature and made life more predictable and stable but this is also ruining the planet that makes it all possible..Now Reality for some reason does not provide for all people equally because it can't.Nor does nature take away our reproductive ability or drive to limit our growth. And the wealthy do nothing to curb their own profit growth even if it destroys the people that make it possible for the wealthy to be rich.

Luck is not kind to everyone all the time..Even if we all led a idyllic life in balance with the Earth and shared everything we are creative creatures,we live fearing death,we can get sick and hurt,we are pleasure seeking suffering avoiding creatures by nature so we want to get more of the good life. We have pleasure centers in our brains that motivate us to seek whatever it is that gives us pleasure ,rewards, social rank etc.It is part of our adaptation toolkit our biological bodies use to respond to the evolution pressures that forces us to adapt to our environment. And it is very inefficient and short sighted for most of us and it is broken in some sociopaths..

Problem with pleasure centers is they can wear out in non sociopath people. Which leads people if unrestrained by lack of money or resources to seek more stimulating pleasures in other words be decadent. Lottery winners because they are not rich often blow their winnings on being decadent. They never had pleasures and by gum they are gonna live well even if for two weeks.Their pleasure deprivation screws them out of the stability they long for in the long run..And this serves the very wealth's selfish goals very nicely. It reinforces social inequality...Marquis DE Sade mentioned how a life of decadence and excess burns itself out in it's own extremes, until simple things like a bowl of oatmeal seems more pleasurable to a person who once ate rich lavish gourmet food and had sex and more sex any way you can,and had every desire met. De Sade said he got sick of decadent pleasure and so he turns to deprivation and pain because it is NOVEL to his bored overstimulated pleasure centers and what pains most people became pleasure to the burned out decadent..

The rich have had the luxury to learn in themselves why and how to control their own pleasure seeking, they had a chance to use their pleasure centers and learn to negotiate it and not seek impulsively..They are stable already and they can live they are without desperation, and so rich people are not so deprived the idea of no fillet mignon tonight is no big deal because if they really desired it they could gorge themselves with it everyday..A lotto winner that has eaten macaroni and cheese and Mc.D's most of his life will want to relax to taste the life they have been told is the good life, and because their own pleasure centers for the most part are are untested without attending fear or shame, when they finally get"permission" to indulge they go hog wild because they are pleasure starved and satiating this undermines their own stability that the money could have given them.IF they were not so deprived of pleasure and guilty about wanting it for so long..The new lotto winner after the spree is over returns to his same working class life with instability of before and regrets his spree and is jaded. It's almost like a holiday from the familiar stress, stresses him out double time so he burns out the deprivation and the money and that drives him back to the same old unhappy unstable life because the familiar appears like stability even when it's miserable to some people I guess.

The old rich "tighten their belts" for another reason than the lower and middle classes seem to. The rich hoard wealth to get more of the 'security' the homeostasis and stable predictable life we all crave once our deprivations are satiated.

If they don't blow their wad on decadent crap they can live in insulated from hardship comfort for longer and insulate themselves to avoid the stress of unwanted competition and the pressures of adaptation that evolution and sharing a planet with too little resources puts upon ALL of us,some more than others.. The rich by default of what families they were born into get a break from the strife of life. This changes how they see the world as surely as a traumatic incident and PSTD changes how a victim deals with seeing the world. A bit of fortunes bliss that we all want because we all want rest from strife and deprivation or the threat of it... And the rich get alot more of this good life than most people by riding high on the backs of billions who are taught by their parents to hold a different set of beliefs about the world and how it works ,where ones own lack of opportunity or luck is a deficiency in the working man or poor persons character.People denied the chance to delude themselves of their stability in their lives resent those who exploit them to have it.And this resentment is warranted it is the result of inequality.

The rich want more and we give them more. We live inside an elaborate scam rigged to benefit the wealthy the most,we play their game and we never seem to catch up. And if we don't play it their way, they use our parents psychological conditioning against us,they use the state to make sure we cannot become stable enough financially to find a better life for ourselves and others past a certain limit.

Rich republicans hate communism because it is a rival worldview where they are not stable.Communism in it's true form(not Stalinist ) Communism is one idea that attempts to equalize wealth and work among people to ease inequality by sharing the burdens and the benefits. Equalizing wealth means to the rich THEY are no longer so stable and they have to adapt to another lifestyle. Adaptation is something their families have avoided or tried to control for generations with raising their offspring with their entitlement beliefs that are basically predatory and parasitic. The lower classes are taught to cut the skinflint pork in out of paltry paycheck so the rich don't have to ever share what they have or contribute much to maintain their own stability ,homeostasis and undeserved social rank. The rich never see the need to cut into their own stability base and doubt feelings of certainty and control over their lives and the world (through money, social rank and power)to help some poor people to get the resources to help himself into another rival to cause strife in the tranquil lands of the haves who no longer want but always get.

The world itself will not allow real equality. We will always breed more people than the Earths carrying capacity if we live in a civilization to offset the brutality of nature itself killing us off.Living in nature is no picnic,we suffer alot more when we cannot fight disease be warm or have a steady supply of food or shoot a marauding bear.Every organism resists death and changes.

We poor folk HAVE to find another way develop stability without the rich peoples 'blessing'.It may mean stepping out of the rich mans self serving systems. We have other options and we need to figure some out if we want a good life at all.. We may need to disobey orders, slack off,and to take back what the rich have stolen from us and demand to be Equal partners with them if we want things to be better. And when we get benefits we must have the insight to not do what rich people do,hard to feel stable..We must distribute it equally and hope the people deprived of pleasure for so long do not blow the money and resources on things they always wanted, the deprived classes have not had the chance to burn out their pleasure zones yet and figure out needs from wants, separate pleasure and stability seeking like the wealthy and middle classes have had a chance to do who are eating simple meals even though they can eat fillet mignon ,or at least good food everyday. We can't scapegoat people for not being good at negotiating the effects of pleasure deprivation.

This idea does not apply to sociopath wealthy like the Bush administration or Ken Lay.These people will seek pleasure and will bankrupt a company or a country and steal it blind to keep feeling something, anything going. These sociopaths are pleasure and fantasy addicts and their pleasure centers can never get too extreme, because they have no empathy which means they have no moral compass inside.Their ambitions are not for stability but to own, dominate and control everything they see.The sociopath ambition of these sick ass people are what threatens the stability of the old money and society in general .Yet people with the most power to help this situation are obliviously blind to it because they are insulated from the bad effects of sociopath money.

Because old money rich just concern themselves with their own, they cannot see the dangers in families like the Bushes getting money and power until it's too late.As far as the old rich are concerned they are assuming sociopaths are not rivals with 'friends' in the old boy network, really the rich are taught to see the classes beneath themselves they exploit as their rivals. So they are blind to corruption in their peers and how it might effect their pampered lives..

THe old money republicans are waking up now because they finally see the pathological control freaks in their midst who find pleasure in ruling the world are not just some decadent explorer like themselves playing emperor in their own private pleasure domes for a pastime, a sociopath with money and power can threaten even their own stable tranquil closed gated worlds.

As long as companies and culture reinforces the employee bad self esteem, the employee accepts inequality abuse and job uncertainty the rich can be stable and call themselves entitled for riding on their backs longer.

Because some sociopath rich are out of control, the rich that control their own wants rather than adapt or remove the threat, will do the easiest thing, squeeze the workers more..not because they are losing wealth it is because they feel their lifestyle is unstable,somehow..they are fearful of maybe having to live like the other half has been made to live,They fear having to change and adapt to another world that is uncertain and where their money no longer insulates them from the strife, threats and lack of control over our lives that most of us deal with everyday if not consciously,unconsciously..

So what do the rich do,they dip their pampered toes in the water of poverty with'slumming'it..because they sense their "break" from reality is fast fading and could it be they are trying to adapt to the reality that their money will not halt the forces of evolution for long, that'd driving us all to survive, change adapt and transform.Either we all share in the fruits of homeostasis together or NO one will be stable for long without ruining others lives and potentials.Maybe the NON sociopath rich are just beginning to comprehend their grave moral errors against humanity on some level.

Common people by William Shatner

She came from Greece,
she had a thirst for knowledge.
She studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College.
That's where I caught her eye.

She told me that her Dad was loaded.
I said, in that case I'll have a rum and coca-cola.
She said fine, and in thirty seconds time she said,

I want to live like common people.
I want to do whatever common people do.
I want to sleep with common people.
I want to sleep with common people, like you.

Well, what else could I do?
I said, I'll see what I can do.

I took her to a supermarket.
I don't know why, but I had to
start it somewhere, so it started there.

I said, pretend you've got no money.
She just laughed, and said
oh you're so funny. I said, yeah?
Well, I can't see anyone else smiling in here.

Are you sure you want to live like common people?
You want to see whatever common people see?
You want to sleep with common people?
You want to sleep with common people, like me?
But, she didn't understand,

She just smiled and held my hand.

Rent a flat above a shop.
Cut your hair and get a job.
Smoke some fags and play some pool.
Pretend you never went to school.

But still, you'll never get it right.
When you're lying in bed at night
watching roaches climb the wall,
if you called your Dad he could stop it all.
Yeah.

You'll never live like common people
You'll never do whatever common people do.
You'll never fail like common people.
You'll never watch your life slide out of view,
and dance and drink and screw

because there's nothing else to do.

Sing along with the common people.
Sing along, and it might just get you thru.'

Laugh along with the common people.

Laugh along, even though they're laughing at you

and the stupid things that you do
'cause you think that poor is cool.

Like a dog lying in a corner,
they'll bite you and never warn you.
Look out.

They'll tear your insides out
'cause everybody hates a tourist.

'Cause Everybody hates a tourist,
especially one who thinks
it's all such a laugh.

Yeah, and the chip stains' grease
will come out in the bath.

You will never understand
how it feels to live your life
with no meaning or control
and with nowhere left to go.

You're amazed that they exist
and they burn so bright,
while you can only wonder why.

Rent a flat above a shop.
Cut your hair and get a job.
Smoke some fags and play some pool.
Pretend you never went to school.

But still, you'll never get it right.
'Cause When you're lying in bed at night

watching roaches climb the wall,
if you called your Dad he could stop it all.
Yeah.

You'll never live like common people

You'll never do what common people do.
You'll never fail like common people.
You'll never watch your life slide out of view
and dance and drink and screw
because there's nothing else to do.

I want to sing with common people, like you.
I want to sing with common people, like you.
I want to sing with common people, like you.
