5. I don't know if
anything else has happened, but it is news, lots of people are interested, and CNN has 24 hours to fill up, somehow.

6. It beats focusing on King Georgie's addendum
to that bill he signed putting himself above law and Congress on illegal FBI spying.

That is so illegal on so many levels I don't know where to begin.

Asshole.

7. it's the old MSM smoke machine
CNN is so desperate to report "good news" in Iraq- no joke. I watched an interview with a returning vet being pumped by Kyra Phillips for "good news".

21. Ugh, I saw some stupid rightwinger whining about "bad news"
on Anderson Cooper and saying that W's dog-and-pony in WV "proves" that the country is "sick of the liberal, anti-war agenda" (as if every f*cking person in that audience wasn't handpicked by Karl Rove himself).

An Aussie reporter basically retorted that he didn't have any agenda, but if there was a civil war starting, he was bound to report it. Wingnut just kept hitting the "liberal media" talking point. Arrrgh

9. Because the Latino community is staging a walkout?
and they need to cover up THAT story? Is this happening or not? Does anyone know? I caught a reference on a thread or two about a national strike in the Latino community to occur at noon today. Even if it's halfway successful, it'd be wonderful.

13. It doesn't cost much to cover
and it's real juicy and full of easy contradictions and sin. Can't you just feel the network waiting for the 'affair' of either the wife or husband to come to light? Then the commentators will be able to cheaply tsk, tsk, tsk this and get their jollies on it as well.

Must keep the story on the good not the bad. theres no good to report on iraniraqistan so we have a dead minister to take the heat. Thank gawd for the 'internets'

18. Because a wife killing her minister husband is shocking news
really, it is. The way I see it, it's shocking like the girl in NY who was tortured and murdered was.

If it bleeds, it leads. That sentiment has been driving news for a hell of a long time.

22. i wonder what truth about bush, his goons, his invasion and occupation of
iraq, his shunning of the patriot act by signing and amendment saying that he does not feel required to obey requirements that he inform Congress about how the FBI was using the act's expanded police powers, and who knows what other blatant attempt against democracy committed by bush, the round the clock coverage on cnn of that minister is covering up.

they are bush enablers.
