When did you last see a pro-* bumper sticker?
It's been a while since I saw any, even on huge gas-guzzling suvs.

Of course I'm in extremely blue Montgomery County, Maryland, but we've always had our share of W-morons.

Has anyone else noticed a decline in * bumper stickers lately?

I have seen several lately as I was travelling around the state a lot and
saw many out of state cars to boot.

Still, there weren't nearly as many as there would have been back in 2001.

78. Exactly what I was going to say
I haven't seen one around Chicago in a long time, not even in the burbs. They were never everywhere or anything, but there were enough that you didn't have to look far if you were trying. Now there's almost none. Next time I'm out I'm going to see how long it takes to find one.

Almost daily
One of my coworkers has a very discreet white "W" on her black Saturn, and she parks next to me, with my Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker still on the car. I also see them on the highway frequently as I drive the 50 miles or so to work - but you have to realize, I live in Southeast Arkansas.

And it isn't pure laziness, either. I suspect that people are afraid of taking off the W stickers because that would be an admission that they made a mistake, that they were fooled, betrayed and hoodwinked. That is the core support for Bush's decisions, and it won't go away.

If someone watches Fox News everyday, they have no reason to think Bush is not popular.

There is a LOT of emotional and intellectual investment in Bushco among military members. It would be fairly devastating to many of them to have to rectify their cognitive dissonance.

Lots of GOP staffers in this town. Having a W sticker remains a requirement for keeping their jobs.

Weird juxtaposition of practicality and political insanity, that one. Single occupant Hybrid vehicles get to use the car-pool lanes here.

50. Cover them up FOR the idiots!
I printed several pages worth of mailing-label stickers. 2" X 4". On the left half of the sticker in big red letters it says: BUSH'S RECORD, on the right half, a column that says "Thousands Dead, Millions Unemployed, Billions Squandered, Trillions of Debt". Looks like a bumpersticker I once saw.

EVERY time I see any kind of W sticker on a parked car, I put one of mine over it. One of my friends will jump out at red lights to get a car next to us.

Of the cars I would see regularly, most took the Bush sticker off after I did it, a few left my sticker over theirs, only one took my sticker off and left her Bush sticker on. I did it twice more, just to bug her. Amazingly, last month she put an additional sticker on her car: "My Son Is In Iraq". Unbelievable.

So give that a try. It's fun to do, and seems to give the lazy people some motivation to remove the W stickers.

I live in Portland but I'm close to Beaverton (how's that for a town name?), and, inevitably, when I cross the border I see some middle-aged white guy in an oversized vehicle with a Bush/Cheney or W sticker. 58. Actually, I'm seeing more Kerry/Edwards stickers these days
When I'm in traffic it's not at all unusual to see at least two cars with them anymore. The Bush stickers have dropped off considerably, and there are some cars I see that have their stickers halfway ripped off.

Anyway, I find it interesting. I saved my K/E sticker and am thinking about slapping it back on my window, if nothing more than as "I told you so" to those Bush morons who are still driving around.

73. Get this: A woman in my town was ticketed by DeKalb Co. GA police
for having a "No More Bushit" bumper sticker on her car! The policeman thought it was obscene and she called him on it and said "I'll see you in court." It's front page, above the fold, full color story in today's Athens Banner Herald. Can you believe this crap? The GA ACLU has already fought some of these charges and I think they'll be helping in in court. I can't beleive this happened in a "blue" county (DeKalb County is part of the Atlanta metro area.)

The Georgia Supreme Court ruled more than a decade ago that the law against lewd bumper stickers is unconstitutional, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.

:grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

IMHO, Bush is obscene.

Bumper sticker a ticket to free speech fight
Athens woman pulled over

Denise Grier, a registered nurse at Emory University Hospital, was ticketed by a DeKalb County police officer for a political bumper sticker the officer deemed lewd.

Is BUSHIT lewd? Is it even a word?

Whatever it is, BUSHIT was a bumper sticker message that got an Athens woman cited in DeKalb County for violating a state law prohibiting lewd or profane stickers and decals on vehicles.

In full, the sticker that got 47-year-old Denise Grier pulled over reads, "I'm Tired Of All The BUSHIT" - referring to President Bush's policies.

Grier, a registered nurse at Emory University Hospital, said the sticker is a political statement.

The DeKalb police officer who stopped her thought it was lewd.

I followed for five minutes, was sporting a pro W sticker. He pulled into a muffler joint and got out as I went by. He was yer typical dufus , wearing jeans that were skin tight, big sloppy belly hanging over his belt, and a ballcap that had a ford truck on the front. I chuckled and contemplated flipping him off. He looked at me amd he knew what I was thinking as I chuckled in his direction.

There are still many * stickers on cars throughout the city. The sticker that scared me was the one that said "condi rice for pres, 2008." I almost ran my car off the road when I saw that one. :puke:

100. One time in Hartford
About a month ago, I was driving on I-84 eastbound approaching the I-91 interchange. A minivan, a few car lengths in front of me, makes a stupid and dangerous lane change from the far right to the far left. I pull back a bit to avoid this twit. Then, another stupid and dangerous lane change from the far left to the far right. I get off at the I-91 ramp, but then the minivan slows down and jumps in front me.

At this point, the minivan is close enough to see Bush-Cheney 04 sticker. I immediately thought, "Well, he doesn't know where he's going either."

118. 5 times a day easily
Driving around I270 and also (perhaps more so) on 104 to frank road. (Columbus, Ohio)

I don't really pay much attention to many stickers (ie, in so far as being judgemental). I drive my mom's old van (since she died she rarely drives it anymore) and she has some stickers on there that I don't really like but it was her van and they are staying.

Plus you often get people borrowing someone's car, or a spouse using it that sees things differently, etc and so on.

Also, I have seen nearly as many kerry stickers and anti-bush ones as I have seen bush ones each day. It like a rolling debate out there.
