future generations not just the next occupant of the White House.

7. That was the very first lie, right out of the gate.
Followed by the "trashing of Air Force One." I believe there were three investigations proving that these were lies. People should have started waking up right then.

21. Bush v Gore
remains the heart of this hellish maze, because that is when the selection of the president
was taken out of the hands of the people. What was the reward for the Supremes, to see
this administration and the rigged machines elect a Congress of goons who threaten their
personal safety. Well, they should be very proud of what they did, because that is how
they will be remembered.

23. Exactly!!! Why didn't the media report that no 'w's were missing?
The White House wasn't wreaked. They reported that story like mad - and never reported that it was not true. Just like the Jessica Lynch hero story and a million other made up lies!!! Jeff Gannon is a journalist? I had a middle school teacher tell me he liked Bush better than Clinton because Bush is honest and Clinton lied!!! I said Bush lies non-stop. He said "about what?" I said 'WMDs - that there was a link between Iraq and Al Quida." (spelling?) He said he thinks those things are true. What is up with these people who only watch Faux news? They are so misinformed. Ugh!!! You can't reason with them because their "truth" comes from Faux. Ugh!!! How can Clinton be civil with the Bush Senior after they lied about him so much? How can Carville stay married to Matlin? "Stay out of the Bushes!"

14. Yep, never happened
FACT: Ari Fleischer and other White House officials spread the deliberate lie that outgoing Clinton Administration staffers have vandalized the White House, although no-one is allowed to see the damage. Office Depot donates thousands of dollars of computer keyboards to replace those supposedly damaged. Congressman Bob Barr demands a General Accounting Office Investigation. The GAO investigation turns up nothing but the Bush administration never returns the donated keyboards.

And while we're at it, Clinton NEVER said "I feel your pain." That was from an SNL skit.

8. Clinton "removed the W keys"
Bush41 removed the hard drives . . .

I'd say that the Bush41 "prank" was much harder to correct . . . I mean, what, a keyboard is $9 at CompUSA . . . a hard drive with all kinds of data which is necessary is extremely hard to replicate . . .

10. Not only is the data on a hard drive hard to replicate
It also removes what I like to call "evidence" of ongoing criminality. Remember that Poppy pardoned his Iran/contra co-conspirators in the dead of night on Christmas Eve 1992 after he had been voted out of office, and just two weeks before Cap Weinberger, Eliot Abrams and the rest of the terrorist cabal were to go on trial. The trial would have put the lie to George Sr.'s contention that he was "out of the loop" on Iran/contra, but rather in it up to his eyeballs. Once the pardons came down, the prosecution had to end without resolving anything.

12. on the old-style (1990s) keyboards, you could just replace the keys ...
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 05:42 PM by Lisa
They could be popped on and off, without any damage. I have a decade-old Zenith one I keep in my office, with the keys rearranged to spell out insulting messages about Bush. (Believe me, the @#$%*! keys come in very handy!)

I heard that the missing keys were found in one of the drawers ... so they wouldn't even have had to buy replacements, let alone entire keyboards.

As for removing the "$" from the Treasury ... alas, too true.

17. The keys were never removed.
It was just the first example of an endless stream of vicious lies form these assholes. It was all shown to be false.

I gotta say though, Toles really nailed it! For me, the teeny-tiny bit at the bottom is always the funniest part.

9. Hey, that's the plan.
Leave nearly insurmountable problems for the Dems to very painfully fix, then come back in a few years and liberate the nation from the tax-n-spend Democrats.

And it will work if we don't put their asses in jail, this time.

18. I had a repuke for a g/f
back in 2003 who tried passing this lie off to me.

COMPLETE BS !!! There was no vandalization. EVERY account of it was different, claiming hundreds to Thousands of keyboards. Everything from phone cords ripped out of the wall, to pornography hidden in file cabinets. None of them were the same, that alone convinced me it was BS. Fair.org also debunked this.

btw the supposed porn photos were from, and I quote here, a porn magazine titled "Liberal Bulldykes Quarterly" I did some searching, no such publication exists. I mean, c'mon, I don't do my "dirty minded business" to someone's political philosophy, and I know of no business that advertises female-female pornography as "bulldyke" action.

It was hearsay and rumor, and the * admin refused to comment (acting magnanimous) also making it so that Clinton couldn't sue for libel or slander.
