could have survived, IF they had had the proper armour, which has been available since 2003!!!!
Heard on Washington Journal. I caught the discussion of the article but missed the source.

The exposed horror of these ghouls just keeps getting worse.

1. 100% wouldn't have been killed in Iraq if they weren't there.
And, the need for body armor would be superfluous.

2. This is how they support the troops?
How on earth can they send our soldiers into harm's way without the proper equipment?? This is disgraceful. There needs to be an investigation into this pronto. And they have the nerve to blame Murtha for slumping recruiting numbers.

Here's a link to an earlier thread with the NYT article about this. http://upload.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2353961&mesg_id=2353961

3. Thanks, I hadn't seen the earlier thread.
I can't imagine what those whose loved ones have been needlessly killed in Iraq must be feeling right now.
