A message to Congressional Dems; FIGHT OR GO HOME.
Elected officials should be thought of as office temps. They are there to do a job, and if they can't do it, FIRE THEM.

I voted for my senators and congressman to work hard to oppose what the Bushies were going to do to my country. Instead, they rolled over and let it happen.

I want to suggest a winning slogan for EVERY primary challenger of a sitting Dem elected official.
FIGHT OR GO HOME. If your senator or Congressperson won't show the stones to demand impeachment after the midterm elections, they should just go the hell home and let someone else do the damn job.

1. Amen to that
I got a call last night at home from the Dem fundraising machine in my state and boy did I let fly to the person who called me. In no uncertain terms I told them that my future financial support of the Democratic Party hinges on them getting up and fighting and stop being so damned afraid of the bush machine. I think all my pent-up anger at the Dems came pouring out and I kind of felt sorry afterward for the woman who was on the other end of the phone. But I just cannot take it any more -- and I'm sure a lot of other disaffected Dems feel the same way. It's time OUR voices were heard!

2. Mine is
I suspect the ones that are doing something else are doing exactly what their constituents voted them into office to do. If you want other Congress people to do something different, then you need to change the minds of the people they have to answer to.

3. Say halijulia!
If they want to be irrelevant, they have succeeded. They are irrelevant unless they have the balls of Howard Dean, Russ Feingold or Barbra Boxer. This is why I left the Democratic party and joined the Greens. Either speak truth to power or go home. Whimpering in the corner is not good enough!

4. Why aren't they fighting?
Why does a Republican offer his son FREE EXPENSIVE COLLEGE on the condition he changes his political beliefs? And one or two other choice comparisons that are tantamount to the same conclusion:

What do all these folks know that we don't?
