I didn't hear a single word. Not one.

That "man" did not answer one iota of her question, and it that were Carter, or Clinton, or even Bush I, the press would have been all over that like ugly on an ape.

FUCK the press. God Bless Helen Thomas.

3. Bush: "911! Afghanistan! 911! Afghanistan! 911! Afghanistan!"
SHE ASKED ABOUT IRAQ, YOU MINDLESS ASSHOLE!

I can't even listen to the replay of the conference. I have nothing left to vomit but bile.

Surely, if there is any justice in the world, the name of BUSH will make NIXON look like St. Francis of Assisi.

2. It Was A Set Up From The Get-Go
This was to provoke a confrontation...make it look like the big bad "librul media" (Helen Thomas; postergirl) look like it's disrespecting and beating up on feces leader. This is intended to get up the outrage of the Rushbos and Hannities and O'Reillies and circle the wagons as this 80 year old lady assaults their hero. Sheesh.

4. Too bad the Freepers are too damn young to remember what
the media is supposed to do!

The Fourth Estate (Media) is supposed to act as a watchdog for the citizens in our republic.

5. Not Corporate Media...This is "Infotainment"
Digging up boring statistics and citing endless laws and court cases doesn't sizzle on TV...name calling and demonizing does. Nobody wants the "sausage"...the specifics of what goes on inside the halls of power...they just want to see the mud slinging and the "macho". It's dumbing down and exploiting news to draw viewers...it's creating controversies that are simple morality plays or us vs. them games. It's turning issues into soundbites. The sad thing is this is what really sells...and the Repugnicans long ago figured it out....Democrats have yet to really get a handle on this.
