Chimpy giving ANOTHER "unscripted" Q & A Today
Does anyone know what time? CNN said "in about 3 hours" at 9:00AM EST... would anyone have more precise info?

I feel like a masochist, because listening to that bastard makes my blood boil, but am hoping SOMEONE will stick it to him and/or he will flub badly.

The Freepers are orgasiming (or having 'Freep-gasms')at Chimp's latest PR campaign- but I'm hoping (praying) his numbers continue to sink. Then we can watch all the Republican rats jump the ship 'S.S. Stay-the-Course' prior to Nov 2006.

1. So which Chimpy will we be treated to today?

1) Jack Nicholson from "The Shining"?

2) Jack Nicholson from "A Few Good Men"?

3) Sean Penn/Spicoli from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"?

5) Otis from "The Andy Griffith Show?

Yesterday I think he was a combination fo 2 and 4.

Any other ideas?

8. Mr. Haney from 'Green Acres' ...
... the guy with the smarmy charm, who was always trying to sell the Douglases something they didn't want.

Sound like a familiar trait?

2. Freepers are so stupid. Yesterday, Lou Dobbs' poll asked whether
Chimpolini's recent spate of appearances was helping or hurting his approval free-fall. When I last checked, it was something like 96% for 'hurting'...LOL.

what he says, it matters how the war and economy are going.

3. They are SO desperate (WH)
they have tried everything - as they convinced themselves it was his "charm" (hah!) and charisma that won him such "great" support (er... not winning the popular vote in 2000, and "winning" by one state in 2004) - they forget that pre911 his were abysmal numbers for a new president (in the 40%s)... so they have kept him cloistered, scripted to keep the "war pres" momentum going - but completely misattributing the reasons why he had a following. He reportedly hates nonscripted events, as his ego can barely tolerate any questioning of his "rightness."

So lets put him out there unscripted... if his 'charm' comes through... then folks will once again back him ( :eyes: ). Forget that the first two events have made him look even worse. But seriously - they have to do something... their tried and true scripted stuff is no longer working... so try something risky... (bush unscripted) and maybe it will pay off - seems to be behind this.

Bet these events end after a week when polls show no gains, and possible further erosion. Then he will be back to the president in the bubble. But in the mean time - lots of great moments of buffoonery on display.

The GOP on the hill who are running for their political lives must be cringing.

10. Distraction.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch ... ANWR drilling approved, Social Security and Medicare under repeated assault in hidden provisions of massive legislation marked up in the dead of night. The cockroaches are pillaging in the dark whenever the flashligh swings to Junior.

12. Very good point.
Interesting strategy - given bush's egomania he couldn't be aware of it - as it would make him nakedly look like a marinet puppet playing a role so that others (those pulling strings) could get political victories. You could be right, but I would venture to bet that if this is the strategy - jr is unaware - his ego wouldn't stand being put out there for ridicule by intention. Wonder what they are whispering into his ears to encourage him to take this tack?

15. What Junior 'thinks' or 'feels' or is 'aware of' is an ephemeral of little
... relevance or revelance to me. He's a tool. He's a front-puppet whose pathological narcissism offer strings to be pulled at the will of Cheney/Rumsfled/et.al. He's completely beyond the reach of any treatment and no longer possesses the capacity for anything but an all-consuming appetite for reaction and response. His every posture, grimace, strut, and incantation is solely designed to provoke reaction.

6. I almost wet my pants yesterday when * called on Helen Thomas!
whta's it been... 3 years? Too bad she wasn't mic-ed, as she kept rebutting Chimp during his response- I wish i could have made out what she was saying.

It's moments like that, that make the stomach-churning experience of watching/listening to him WORTH it, for me.

9. I want someone to ask THIS:
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 10:12 AM by npincus
http://www.dscc.org/news/roundup/20051028_leak/

In June 2004 and on multiple occasions you promised to fire anyone found to have leaked the identity of Valerie Plame to the press. It has been months since Karl Rove has acknowleged that he did leak Plame's identity to the press.

Q: Why is he still working in the WH?
Q: (Follow-up)Mr. President, doesn't that make you a liar?

What the fuck COULD he say to THAT?

Asked in June 2004 if he’d stand by his pledge to fire anyone found to have leaked, Bush replied “yes.”

13. He's being set up as a distraction.
Since when does he do two unscripted Q&As in a row? Since never. His handlers fear he will sink himself with adlibs.

However, with a plethora of damning investigations, and even more damning evidence surfacing each day, the NeoCons need a smoke screen more than ever. Their 8 year get rich scheme is nearing its closing act. And this is what they have been grooming Bush for. He's their malleable idiot. Just useful enough to get elected (with their backing) and easily stupid enough to allow himself to be tossed to the wolves when they need to cut and run.

Bush sinks himself when he talks unscripted. They are giving him just that chance. Meanwhile, there are deals being cut in backrooms, Get Out of Jail cards being negotiated. Cheney, Libby and Rove all working for themselves now.

That's my .02

22. So...NeoCons are setting it up for Bush to go down and Cheney remains
in charge? That's kind of hard to believe... Cheney is more disliked than Bush at this point. What would be gained by that? :shrug;

I wonder if it isn't more that the whole Cabal is in disarray... They always were idelogical fools and their dangerous incompetence is finally catching up with them. I think it could be the rats stuck in a cage without food who are eating each other for lack of anyway out.

But...you could be correct that it's a distraction for something else....who knows.

How many times is he going to embarrass himself?

I think the powers that be are stirring the impeachment pot...they are putting him on, live without a net, and expect that he will so enrage the American public that Congress will HAVE to impeach him.

19. HaHa. You are like me - Watch it just hoping he will f%&k up
Personally, and unfortunately, trying to listen yesterday through the ears of his supporters and those in the middle, I thought he did pretty well. But now he is emboldened, and hopefully someone in the press will formulate a stumper question. I think it should be something that will make him look stupid like, "could you please compare and contrast Vietnam and Iraq" -- Na, that's no good, I can hear him respond "9-11 changed everything..."

I like what someone came up with yesterday, "Please explain your affiliation with PNAC and its beliefs"
